Hot and humid ruled the morning as 13 PAX humped it up and down a nasty hill only to move on to a rocky beatdown.
Warm-o-rama
Mosey to Lutheran Church driveway on Bradley Street, with intermittent Buck Kickers, High Steps, and Karaoke’s.
The Thang
Upsy Daisey:
PAX breaks into teams of 2. Teammate 1 runs up to top of long uphill driveway, the Teammate 2 crawls or slithers up hill until Teammate 1 can go back down driveway, run up to catch Teammate 2 and tag off. Teammate 2 must then run up hill, no matter where he is, and back down, while Teammate 1 is crawling, and then tags off. When Teammate 2 catches Teammate 1, second sequence begins. Repeat for 4 sequences of crawls/slithers:
Gorilla Walk
Bear Crawl
Crab Walk
Inchworms
Call at 15 minutes and mosey to RockPile
At Rockpile, PAX line up 7 rocks and face teammates. Teammate 1 does exercise with rock while Teammate 2 does something else. Then, switcheroo.
Sequence 1:
10 Straight Arm Rock Squats / Left Arm Plank
Sequence 2:
10 Slow Rock Curls / Right Arm Plank
Sequence 3:
5 Manmakers / Flutter Kick
Sequence 4:
10 Overhead Rock Lunges / Freddie Mercs
Finish with 50 Imaginary Jump Ropes
Time called, Mosey to Mary

Some workouts don’t actually turn out to be as hard as you planned. This workout was not one of them. The oppressive humidity, steepness of the driveway, and continuous movement of the first portion made for sheer, lovely misery. Cheers to Tick and El Ab for consistent mumble chatter throughout. Catfish had no such partner and was definitely heard talking to himself. Although it was hard to tell in this kind of workout, Team KGB/Frostbite were definitely smoking the WOD. A half tip of the hat to Homeland for showing up when we were almost done. At least, I think that was his orange hat…
The second portion was designed to be more of an in-cadence thing but Q noticed Frostbite could not help himself and was looking around anxiously after the first set. You could done planks, brotha. Also a little confusion about what “six or seven lined up rocks” looks like in execution. Q suspects lawyers don’t do much geometry. Workout seemed to proceed well with expected muscle failure, given how gassed PAX were. Or were passing.
Q got rightfully called out for doing Imaginary Double Unders, which is really the worst attempt at overachieving without actually accomplishing anything.
We need to do more chair sits / people’s chair.
Prayers out to Alex Lourenzo and Custom Job’s friend (regretfully cannot remember the name at this hour). May they be healed though God’s mercy.
Thanks PAX for a great effort this am, an honor as always.
