8 of Mecas Finest including one FNG made the best decision they would make today and get their day started with an epic Beatdown to honor the hero’s of D-Day.

The Thang:

1 Mile Run to Stairway to Heaven.

Attempt to climb 1944 stairs. (19 trips up stairway to heaven plus 31 additional steps) This was an anniversary idea stolen from @Winnebago. Blame him.

To honor the 4414 Allied causalities we did 21 x pushups, 21 CDC and 14 WW2 sit ups at the top of each climb. .

1 mile run back to the parking lot for COT.

 

Moleskin:

Men it was a true honor to lead you on the anniversary of D-Day. That was my first Q @ El Dorado. When researching what to do I came across @Winnebagos post from last year. It looked absolutely brutal, but what better way to honor the fallen.

The 19 climbs proved to be to much for the PAX this AM as @Frodo led the group with a total of 17 rounds completed #respect  followed closely by @Minnow. However, everyone gave their all and pushed their individual limits.

Welcome to FNG -@HearsAWho formerly Wendal Horton. #respect for making #Eldorado your first post. I know many men who have been in F3 for years that still have not made the attempt on the Stairway to Heaven. Please reach out and invite your fellow classmates. It would be nice to get a shot of youth in the PAX.  Also watch out runners @HearsAWho  seemed to be a natural.

Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Forces:

Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle-hardened. He will fight savagely.

But this is the year 1944. Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats, in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home Fronts have given us an overwhelming superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men. The tide has turned. The free men of the world are marching together to victory.

I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty, and skill in battle. We will accept nothing less than full victory.

Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.
