3 outstanding pax arose that cold morning in February – unwilling to let collapsed resolutions, warm beds, or freezing temps deter them. Their reward, to mount Hill 216 and catch the sun, also undeterred, and greet it with sweat and breath. Yes, to quote the always classic Kwai Chang Caine – We are alive! Here to greet the morning while others too weak to post, worried “Who among mankind will face The Day, The Cold, The Sun, The Hill, and Champion them?” Worry not.

Tha Thang:
Course on the hill
moving from steepest side to lowest side
1) Run up hill then do 16 merkins
2) Farmer carry two cylinder blocks down and up hill, then do 16 inclined situps on hillside (using cinder blocks)
3) Partner carry down hill and back (trading off as needed), then 16 curls with 25 lb gravel bags in each hand
4) Crab walk down hill and back, then 16 skull crushers with 40 lb sand bag
5) Buttskoots down hill and back, then 16 lateral rows with 40 lb sand back

Take objects to parking lot at top of hill and head for Mary

Moleskins –

Sorry dudes, if you were hoping for a beatdown without a lot of running, you missed it. It was awful. I’d rather have run after that. I think we each made two complete circuits. Beautiful morning with birds and sweet sun and some chatter. Then coffee afterward (I had to duck out to cover 2.0’s swim practice). Thanks to Trick Daddy for backing the Q up to fetch and put away the equipment.
