NOT HOPS

10 soft men woke up in their fitness era to get each other hard on a perfect October morning.  Here’s how it went:

Mosey half a mile down Spring St to the B&G Club parking lot to try and warm up despite Tombstone talking loudly the whole time.

SSH x20ic

Hillbillies x15ic

Loose Change x10ic

Arm Circles

Various Leg Stretches

Mosey back to OCT for the THANG

Grab your block when you see 2PAC and circle up

Curls x10

Shoulder Press x10

Skull Crushers x10

Bent Rows x10

KGB x10ic

Low Flutters x10ic

Sprint a .3 mile lap around Yorktown/Grove and wait for everyone to catch up before repeating.

We stayed together so there was no reward for shorting or rushing sloppy reps, if you want to rest then you can earn it on the run.

Completed 4 laps + 1 extra round of block work before time was called

MARY

Some bitch ass stretching

PRAYERS/ANNOUNCEMENTS

Prayers for Southport and Michigan in the wake of more shootings, and whoever is up next.

Pray for the men who couldn’t make it this morning (Hops)

Everyone make sure you RSVP to Catfish for BBQ this weekend. Friday night is the boys, Saturday is for the families.

MOLESKIN

One of the best things about F3 is accountability. On days that I don’t want to wake up and move, I do anyways. I do it because I know that yall probably feel the same way and still show up, so I will too. I Shake It Off and show up, even in the midst of a Cruel Summer.  I may be fat, slow, and weak. But I ain’t no pussy. I know that if I give into the fartsack for anything less than getting laid, then the visceral written word of Slack awaits me, potentially some unethical AI pictures. And gentlemen, I ain’t getting laid in the mornings.  We know that All Too Well. So whether I’m training solo or working out with you, you are going to lay eyes on me before the sun comes up each day.

We all fall into slumps though, but we are blessed with a group of men to lean on who will pull you up out of that slump, even if it’s kicking and screaming. A strong man is not one who never hits a slump, rather he is one who knows when he does and reaches out his hand to get pulled out of it. So when Hops did that, it inspired me. It inspired me so much that I stepped up and took the Q because it was my turn to pull a man up. I had a blank space, baby, and I was gonna write his name in it. But when I arrived this morning felling 22 and extended my hand, ready to help, there was no one on the other end. There was even a very gay light green Hyundai Santa Cruz in the parking lot, but no white Dodge Durango. I couldn’t believe it, Hops hit me with the ol’ “meet up on the 9th green at 9:00, and wear something nice.” He texted me at 10:00 this morning (I assume right when he woke up) to explain his absence. But it was too late for him. His deafening absence was already to be scribed into the pages of F3 history. Apparently he had to stay up watching a blowout west coast baseball game to see if his 8 leg parlay would hit. And I hope it was worth it, because now we got Bad Blood. Hops, I Knew You Were Trouble, and now Look What You Made Me Do. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.
