All BackBlasts Backblasts

April 25th, 2022 By Thomas DeBoyace

I am shocked and thrilled! I gave an early warning that Monday runday may not be fun as I would be teaching Phidipidees and Java running lessons that I learned over the weekend.  If you know these guys you would be scared!  LOL!  But nevertheless, 10 amazing, God fearing, fearless, studs showed up!  Trickdaddy, The Big Show, The Burgh, Cupid, Risky Business, Gunny, Heisenberg, Schnitzel, Grandmaster and Loafer.

2 Pax members wanted to get a nice 3+mile loop in so they took off one way. While the other 9 of us (6 runners and 3 ruckers) took off for the interval running.

The Thang: We ran down to Biotechnology Ln.  We did sprints down the lane to the end and jogged up to a post on the loop for a recovery and back down to Biotechnology Ln.  Once we reached Biotechnology Ln we sprinted back up that road and slowed down at the end for a recovery jog to to the police entrance and looped around.  Rinse and repeat.  I think all the runners got 6 cycles or 12 total routes!  Good stuff!  We got the heart rates blazing and slowed it back down for a short recovery. Nice job by all runners and ruckers.  Ruckers were Grandmaster, Gunny and Loafer and got almost 3 miles in.  Runners were young buck Risky Business leading the way with myself trying to catch him the whole time, The Burgh and Schnitzel were right behind us looking really strong and Cupid and Heisenberg earned their RESPECT today.  SO RESPECT RESPECT! I watched them sprinting and was freaking impressed!  Well done!

It was great seeing our very own missionary TrickDaddy back out and youth pastor The Big Show!  Bringing the Jesus this morning and some good prayer vibes!

Prayers/Announcements: May 7 Ultimate Frisbee at Kannon, Jiggy with the piggy coming up.  Support local Concord guys that weekend who are also participating in entering the barbeque! Prayers for Robinson family as his father Larry passed away this weekend.  Prayers for 13 year old David who was diagnosed with Leukemia. Let’s cover this family and young man in prayer.  The Big Show said this kid has amazing faith.

It was an honor to lead a great group of men today.
