40 will be here on Monday whether I like it or not. I’m choosing to like it. A lot of people who were born outside of our great country consider making it to 40 an accomplishment. I’d like to take that perspective. Getting old(er) can be a privilege. I can actually afford cooler stuff than when I was 18 and was property of Uncle Sam. I have a fantastic family, a great job, the best group of friends a man could ask for, and the future is looking bright. As Covid fades and we look to the opportunities to come, I have no reason not to be optimistic. F3 has literally and metaphorically gotten me back into shipshape. I value the people around me more than ever and I’ve never had a bad day when I showed up in the gloom. The posting of 15 fine men and one itinerant Mayweather in spirit on a cold Saturday morning when yall could have fartsacked proved once again that the best people in our lives are right underneath our noses. I was anticipating no more than the usual 6 or 7, but you guys demonstrated that the support of F3 is real and not to be trifled with. I have no doubt that if or when I need help, legal or otherwise, F3 Concord will have my back, Barry jokes notwithstanding. I thank you from the bottom of my heart because the sad clown life is real and terrible. Instead, embracing the work of morning beatdowns has liberated me physically from a body that had become a prison and mentally from a mindset of Oh Well. Now I can be myself, have fun, give my wife the business, and get back to living the life I always wanted. Thank you again and I look forward to another 40+ years.
