All The Dawg House Backblasts

November 24th, 2021 By HoneyDo_MECA

7 showed for a Plan B lead with Ticonderoga on the short term DL. YHC got the rare opportunity to be out on a Wednesday and figured, what better way than picking up where I wanted to go Friday. Much to my surprise, though not really, the tires were full of water still. Summer time? Lets do it! Below freezing? Nah, no chance. Before we got there…

Disclaimer, welcome the visitor, mosey and circle up in front of the ticket booth to wait on Buck as he squalled around the corner and into the lot. No chance he was missing with the promise of tires and blocks (even mixed in pullups for him… you’re welcome).

Mosey to the tires, find the wet, move to plan C…to the wall!

Realize the gate is open, plan D, to the Track!

Partner up.
Run in opposite directions and when you meet up, 20 merkins, and run back to the start, 20 merkins, and repeato.

Grumblings about running the track were heard and we moved on. Mosey with some lunge walking up the ramp, back to the wall.

Mosey to the blocks, get lectured by Buck about leaving a picnic table out, though it was my sign that we were coming back.

Clamoring for Atomic Crunches were heard and honored (weinke is officially torched by this point, don’t think I bothered looking at it after Plan D, why bother planning)

Put blocks away and mosey back to the courts for Mary

Pretzel Crunch x15

Recover, Recover

– This one was an adventure, haven’t flown by the seat of my pants in a while, lots of mumble chatter, some grumbling and laughter throughout. Work was done, fun was had, and everyone missed out on the burpees I had originally planned… maybe next time.
– Good to see peer pressure worked on Torch, Uecker and Blue Chip. Lots of no quit and push out of those guys.
– Lexi was ready to run, definitely the front runner of the day, glad you made the trip up, don’t forget to come see us again, next time you’re in town!
– Buck, we gotta work on your alarm clock, but always a pleasure with the banter and effort put in.
– Good to see CPAP on this side of the tracks, he knows where the real workouts happen.
– Tomorrow’s run is pushed to 7am, or you can go show the Dawgs strength and rough up the egos of those Harrisburg guys (easy to trash talk when I’m out of town, maybe next time).
– Still need a Friday Q if anyone wants a workout.

Prayers for Uecker’s son, Safe travels for those running around the next few days.

Until next time!
