7 Men gathered for what was supposed to be another gameshow themed beatdown. YHC called an audible because he didn’t have his props quite ready, and didn’t want to pull an all nighter like the college days prepping for an assignment. So in the majestic form that Peyton Manning would call it, Omaha, Omaha!  Here’s what we did instead.

Warmup:
SSH x15
Penny Pickers x10
Windmill x10
Arm Circles

Mosey to the top corner of the lot.

Courtesy of WODWell.com, The Longest Mile:

4 Rounds = 1 mile
10 Burpees – run to the next corner
10 Squats – run to the next corner
10 Merkins – run to the next corner
10 WWII – run back to start

After the complaints that it was similar to Wednesday’s Uecker lead, time to set it apart. Line up along the handicap spaces for some shuttle run fun.

Run up 2 rows of spaces
10 SSH
Back pedal 1 row
1 Burpee
Repeato to the end of the lot

Stretch out the calves.

Back pedal 2 rows
5 Jump Squats
Run up 1 row
5 Merkins
Repeato until you get back to the handicap spots

Mosey to the courtyard

Take residence in the center. Omaha, Omaha!

I had more work planned, but lets do some people’s Q. I’ll make it easy, just pick an exercise, we’ll do 10 reps of each. Once everyone calls an excercise, run the car rider line. We made it through twice witha mixture of the below exercises:
– Dips
– Step Ups
– Incline Merkins
– LBCs
– Mountain Climbers
– Derkins x2
– Split Squats
– Core Killers
– People’s Chair w/ Air Presses
– The W
– Pretzel Crunch
– Lunges
– Reverse Grip Merkins (bicep merkins, Berkins?)

Mosey back to the cars, by way of the football stadium, finish at the cars.

Moleskin:
– Always a pleasure to lead. Even more so when people complain about what we’re doing. If you haven’t learned though, the more you complain, the more we’ll do (i.e. Burpees, Merkins, Running). Something about beatings will continue until morale improves fits well here.
– It was fun getting to talk to Loveboat during a beatdown, usually he’s pacing the field, but after a late night working the game, he still made it, even if he was dragging a bit. Nonetheless, felt good hanging with a lead dog, even if MASH and Sir Topham were well out of sight.
– Uecker, Ticonderoga and Blue Chip weren’t slouching either, tons of push and #NoQuit.
– Speaking of Blue Chip, a VQ is on the horizon, with a potential CoQ with Ticonderoga. Be ready to show up to support!
– Also, Sign-up sheet is WIDE OPEN, sign up today!

Announcements:
– BRR is next weekend, keep the crew in your prayers.
– Street Cleanup on Saturday 9/18 at 0815. Robins Way (behind Food Lion). Let’s show Afton and Harrisburg that we know how to serve our community too! We’ve done it with food drives at least once.
