Stupid Broad Jump One Handed Block BurpeeMerkins

All BackBlasts Backblasts

August 24th, 2021 By Spud

16 intrepid men joined the Q to do Stupid Broad Jump One Handed Block BurpeeMerkins in terrible humidity for which YHC would later thank God.  Messed up, I know.

WARM UP:

Buttkick, high knee, and carioca around the parking lot until reaching the upper lot for:

Mosey across to a line of blocks for Q’s demonstration of how the awful SBJOHBBMs would go, split up into 3 groups, and then get after it, standard AO station beatdown with a twist.  Stations were as follows:

  1. Bottom of lower lot- 20 squats; mosey to
  2. Mary spot- 20 dips; mosey to
  3. Rockpile lot- 20 SBJOHBBMs (10 each hand); mosey to
  4. Basketball court lot- 20 WWIIs; mosey long long way around THE POINT of Lake Concord and Country Club and down back to station 1;

Repeato until time called, a little early at 0605.

Q organized a search party for Bozeman who was running fully around the AO for reasons that can only be attributable to the spirit of El Ab overtaking him.  The search party ran approximately 50 yards towards the lower lot only to say screw it, Neverland’s got him, and headed back to the grate for a 4 point suicide, stopping at each of the OUTCROPPINGS/ISLANDS/NATURE/PARKING THINGIES and back to the grate.

Suicide over at 0612 where time was called.

Mary

Q was bushed so led the pax in the most rudimentary stretch possible: Touch your toes and reach for the sky.

Prayers For:

Hip and family as they recover from covid, especially his MIL Patty Propst.  El Ab and Homie as they nurse injuries and head back to full fitness, Anvil and family as his Pawpaw has been moved to hospice care, and all children who NEED IN PERSON LEARNING MORE THAN EVER.

Moleskin:

Stupid Broad Jump One Handed Block BurpeeMerkins suck, and we will do them again someday.  We do things because they are hard.  Now that Catfish has taught us the appropriate way to organize said exercise, they shall return with a minimum of traffic, although the traffic gave a sight respite between the sets, which may or may not have been beneficial.  Moseying the long way round also helped, as it helped reduce the amount of times we needed to do the SBJOHBBMs, with most pax completing between 2-3 revolutions before time was called, and added on the suicide to ensure I got 2+ miles on the watch, so blame the suicide on my being in Group 1 who got the least amount of running.

I had my 3rd year F3 versary about a week ago, and I was strapping my mind how to actually fold in the SBJOHBBMs into the workout, I think they went fine.  In 3 short years, you fellas have let me in, trusted me to lead, and trusted this fine AO to me.  We’ve updated a lot of things, bought some golden shirts, had plenty of laughs,  and said plenty of things that better not leave the front porch of GWC, and talked about Tombstone’s penis more than his urologist will ever dream of.  Soon it will be time for us to eye a successor to MQ F3Concord not because I want to give it up, but because I need to give it up.  Leadership is a bagel that grows stale quite quickly, and no matter how much cream cheese you put on that bitch, it will eventually get chewy, moldy, and unappealing.  Just ask Joe Biden.  Handing over our barely present shovel flag will not signify that I’m giving anything up, I’ll still be an Admin Q, still be present pretty much whenever I can, but it’s not about me, it’s about leading you all to be better men, and as our founding fathers determined centuries ago, it’s important for leadership to transition so our nation can grow and not be dependent on a central figure.  F3 is a democracy that you vote for on a weekly basis with your presence, and I’m fortunate that we have a bunch of dedicated men who are willing to spend their mornings getting better and learning from each other.  Thanks for being willing to teach and to be taught every morning, and abiding me when I make us do SBJOHBBMs.

AYE!
