That was fun.  That was stupid, but also mentally and physically demanding.  Java chose to eat nothing, and endured 275 burpees in addition to around 3.5 miles for all of us.  Tombstone ate literally every option and looked on the precipice of vomiting when he ate the pepper.  Exit and Catfish ate quite a bit as well with Cat only skipping the marshmallows and Exit only skipping the Vienna sausages. Psycho, Homeland and I throttled it down to around 5-6 stations apiece.  I actually ended up trying the pepper later in the morning and that thing had quite a decent amount of spice to it.  Battles were completed, risks were taken, the saltines were dry as hell, the sardine smelled terrible, and the maple syrup may have been the toughest of all.  We returned to OCT right at 7:30 to see a soaked looking Ll Ab running parking lot laps.  Bad luck on not finding what turned out to be a hilarious beatdown.

Extra credit to Tombstone for taking me up on trying the UHT milk I brought to the last pepper station with the intent of cooling the palate.  For a guy who I think ate raccoons and drank puddle water growing up, this probably was no big deal.   Evidently it didn’t work, but instead provided a 9th obstacle.  Hilarious.

There’s also more to it.  Eating different/new/kinda gross things provides a mental hurdle that harkens back to the 6 year old us, wanting to do what is comfortable and resisting eating anything that’s not chicken nuggets, fries, grilled cheese or a peanut butter and jelly.  That still doesn’t mean I like eating sardines.  Thanks for humoring me and keeping me engaged and curious.  You guys keep me thinking of different ways to entertain us all on a rainy Saturday morn.  Thanks bros.

AYE!
