10 men joined the Q to rock out with feathered hair, tasteful makeup and a song in their loins.  Here’s how it got down:

Warm-Up: Mosey round the AO including butt kickers, high knees, carioca, and mosey down to lower lot and circle up for:

• SSH x 20
• Hillbillies x 10
• Loose change x 5
• Dumb arm circle thing I wish I’d not done

Mosey up to upper lot and choose a rock for;

The THAAAAAANGGGG

Speakerbox beatdown with your favorite hair bands from the 80s.  Each band corresponded with an exercise of 20 reps.  Bands and exercises were respectively:

• Guns n Roses: 20 curls
• Poison: 20 squats
• Bon Jovi: 20 OH press/skull crushers
• Journey: 20 v-ups (with or without block)

After you finished your exercises, run a 2 point suicide down the hill of the lot, first approximately half way to a street/road/parking/who gives a crap sign, then to a completely random point approximately double the distance of the first point.  When you cross the grate from your suicide, whatever is playing at the time is the exercise you do.  Additionally, if the band was playing a POWER BALLAD, add 3 man makers.  If the guitarist was ripping a FACE MELTING SOLO, add 5 man makers.  The two additions were not mutually exclusive, making November Rain quite a difficult finale.  Songs in order were:

Prayers/Praises for Wham and his wife as they have been matched for adoption for a baby girl coming in November, still many hurdles to clear but a huge step.  Prayers for Miami.

Moleskin:

A solid grinder, just get the hell through it and enjoy some tunes from back in the day.  Tombstone and Marlboro didn’t know what a power ballad was.  I guess when you grow up listening to Ray Stevens and “Dick Down In Dallas” you can miss true greatness.  In any event, YHC logged around 2.2 miles, which is always fun when you are also crushing tons of reps.  These speakerbox mornings wake me up, and it had been several months since I broke it out, so it was time.  Sometimes you just gotta put all your worries aside and rock the hell out and that’s what today was about and we soar into the second half of the year.  Get through the day and get busy living.  Give F3 to others, because it’s given a lot to me and you.
