Making Uncle Sam Proud

All The Dawg House Backblasts

July 2nd, 2021 By HoneyDo_MECA

8 Patriotic Pooches Pranced their way into the Parking lot, preparing to partake in a beatdown that would keep them dry. Sadly, Uecker must have forgotten his alarm clock or decided he couldn’t ride his two wheels at the beatdown and left us hanging to play in the rain. So 530 hits, the drizzle is picking up, and YHC felt a little kind this morning to find a drier spot than planned.

Mosey around the lot and see Buck drifting his front wheel drive econobox into a parking spot. Circle up under the sky while the rain is still light to warm up.

Mosey to the basketball ticketbooth for the main event.

1776 Beatdown
7 excercises, 4 rounds
-300 meter run
-24 WWII
-24 Jump Squats
-24 Merkins
-24 American Hammers
-24 Sumo Squats
-24 Carolina Dry Docks

300 + (24 x 6) = 444 x 4 = 1776 (thank you wodwell for the structure)

Take the fun to the courtyard and find some brick. Hokie had a seat, so next up dips! Followed by step ups. Then Loveboat wanted to stretch, resembling incline merkins, that’s what’s next! Finish with some lunges. 2 rounds of this.

-24 dips
-24 step-ups (12 each leg for the sake of time)
-24 incline merkins
-24 lunges (again 12 each leg)

Mosey to the cafeteria covered area for Mary.

Moleskin:
– Always fun to lead, and a good rainy workout is honestly fun in my eyes during the summer. Gave the option for guys to stay a little drier with the cover, but a few joined me in the rain.
– Debates on the American-ness of the workout. Apparently, only some engineer’s like the metric system, Yellowcake is one that does not, while it is by far my preferred. It’s just so much cleaner to work with.
– Sumo squats were also deemed Japanese, but with the Olympics coming soon, we’re going to dominate Tokyo, so yeah, take that!
– We found Overdrive after the first round, props to coming out. Even if you’re late, the respect for showing up is better than the shame of fartsacking, trust me, I’ve done it when I was the Q, always better to just show up.
– Lastly, apparently I employ the Solocup school of thought, with a little less of the snarkiness. Questions of the counts being for both sides comes up often. I always respond with “it’s up to you, if you want half or a full workout.” To which Buck thinks my kids are going to get it rough with my critical thinking requirements, especially when guys like Habs just show up and don’t want to think. FYI, do all the reps, you’ll be better for it.

Announcements/Prayers
– F3 Harrisburg 5/10k, July 31st. Sign up for this, no questions asked. The events are always top notch, the cause hits close to home and is in response to Hammerheads accident last year at this time and the only regret you’ll have is not being there. Info is on slack, or reach out to Yellowcake or I and we can get you more info.
– Prayers for Yellowcake, and for his M on her recharge trip
– Prayers for Buck and his upcoming MRI
– Prayers for safety over the holiday weekend

Happy 4th, and stay safe brothers! Come ready for Torch and his Iron Q next week!
