The return of the Trailer of Pain – and mental illness awareness
All Highlands BackblastsMay 17th, 2021
After being delayed due to weather for a few weeks, the Trailer Of Pain finally made its long awaited return to the gloom this AM. Given that the toys from the Trailer of Pain resides in YHC’s garage, the M is begrudgingly allowing the toys to be stored in the garage even though the smell of the old tires, other toys, and left over sweat is not pleasant to her sensitive sense of smell. Having said that, the M made it clear that she is not interested in YHC returning the toys in the garage all soak and wet from rain storm. So a fair resolution is to avoid taking the Trailer of Pain to a rainy beatdown. Well this morning was one of those perfect morning where it was a nice 57F and a total of 10 PAX knew the TOP was coming and showed up with their game face on. @powerball even got to the parking lot at 5:10 since the adrenaline was already rushing in. Of course, he also came to assist with the pain station set up. YHC could see the excitement of the PAX by the simple fact that most of them showed up with several minutes to spare. @illuminati came in just on time, but for his defense and credit, he ran to and from the beatdown. T-Clap brother! A somewhat full disclaimer was given while the PAX kept the mumblechatter going, so we moseyed to the parking lot round about and back feeling completely safe, or now fully at risk, considering @overdraft now has his conceal & carry license. For the full safety of the PAX, he left all his weapons in the cars, but one could argue that he showed up strong for what could be call the “Gun Show” this am, even though not too many sleeveless shirts were showcased. We then circled up for the typical Poutine Warmarama.

COT/BOM
- May is Mental Illness awareness month. There are a lot more people who suffer from mental illness than we will ever realize. It is certainly more prevalent in Covid era, and in all honesty men are more likely not to talk about it until they reach the breaking point. The COT is great time to remind one another that we are not alone. IT is also a great time for us to reach out to other PAX to check on them, go for coffee, lunch, a few drinks, etc. It takes a village!
MOLESKIN
- Thanks for strong showing and work this morning for the return of the Trailer of Pain. They effort was incredible and certainly didn’t disappoint. We might do this again soon!
- Great leadership by @mandown for reminding the channel about the Mental Illness awareness month with some useful links. As someone who had a family member who recently struggled with mental illness, having this F3 group as support along other available resources has been incredible. My phone number is 504-909-0284 if you even need to talk about it regarding yourself or a family member. You can reach out to me at any time, no strings attached.
- Congratulations to @powerball Lake Norman Charter female soccer team who won the 2A state championship this past weekend.
- Also congrats to our Cox Mill female soccer team who also won the state championship in the 3A division.
- Following Saturday’s coffeetaria’s discussion on Yoga Pants Friday, @disaster doesn’t believe that one day is enough so he also added Tennis Skirt Tuesday to the dress code. He asked @powerball to also supply his list, but in @powerball fashion, he remained quiet opted not to venture in @disaster disastrous road.
- @dutch boy has Friday Pit Friday.
- T-Clap to @phidippedes who continues to go strong on his quest to travel across NC with 25 pds MedBall. Some of you had a good dose of the MedBall this am, but at least don’t have to carry it for 725 miles. If you haven’t donate to the cause he is doing this for, please consider doing so.
- As always, it was a pleasure leading this morning. YHC was pretty “giddy” about getting the ToP by in the gloom.
