The Hills of Cheval

All All MECA Backblasts

November 24th, 2020 By Adam Butler

Back in the early pandemic stages my close friend who is an emergency room doctor told me to “Stay the eff home unless you’re going to the grocery store!” She said outside with the family was fine but outdoor spread hadn’t yet been disproven and she begged me not to go to F3 because she worried about my parents who both fall into a high risk category.  So I stayed home.  For two months, I ate right, and found a new running route that traversed four neighborhoods spanning 4.5 miles.

My plan was to run that route this morning for my own personal nostalgia but more than a mile in we came to a hill and I decided that’s what we needed.

We took Hollow Oak into the luxurious pavement of Cheval and ran back and forth on Pfaffe hitting that hill between 8 and 10 times before we took a trip up one more hill to Lawyers and back to the flag.  Between six of us we all had at least 4 miles with Blue Crush and Othello leading the pack with 5.  Solid work, gents.

I’m not sure what the ruckers did but I’m sure they whipped it.

Let’s do it again sometime.
