55 (double nickle) #HIM’s throughout the F3 MECA region descended on the AO of Mint Hill, Saturday, June 13 at 0700 to wish them a Happy 5 yr Anniversary!  MQ’s of old recounted the tales of how the sages said Mint Hill was “too small” to see any growth and “it would never survive”.  Now, 5 years later with a beatdown schedule that covers 6 days a week and an average Pax attendance of 10, we have proved them wrong!

With a table full of donuts and coffee at the ready, the Pax began to arrive.  Clown car after Clown car they came until 55 of them were in attendance.  YHC instructed everyone to “CIRCLE UP!” in the field.  I welcomed everyone, gave a little history of the AO, reminisced about our brother, Gremlin (Rick Pinto) and handed the reigns over to @Booyah for a little Warm-O-Rama.  It went like this…

• Happy-Appy x15 IC
• Merkin x15 IC
• Potato Picker w/clap x15 IC
• Wind Mill x 15 IC

Next, three of Mint Hill’s finest were selected to lead 1/3 of the Pax in a Group rotation style beatdown. The groups were as follows:

The Thang

1. Group 1 Q-@Head and Shoulders-1/4 mile track, little 4 corners of escalating pain
2. Group 2 Q-@Toughskins-Pork Chop Hill, leg and coupon work
3. Group 3 Q-@Chum-Tennis Courts, suicides and monkey humpers, lots of them!

Each Group Q conducted a 15 min beatdown after which the Pax rotated to the next Group for the same.  Group 1 rotated to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 1 until all Pax completed 3 rounds.

At 0755 we gathered back at our our starting location for a little Mary with our very own “DOUBLE RESPECT, @The Body.  Mary consisted of “six inches”, nuff said.

1. Great to see so many brothers come out this morning to wish us well.  We are lucky to be part of such a great region, with a great Nantan and surrounded by so many #HIM’s! AYE!
2. Thank you to our inaugural Mint Hill brothers who helped put this AO together 5 years ago.  Your energy and effort has not been wasted and your legacy will stand the test of time. I hope I can live up to the expectations of the MQ’s who came before me.  It’s an honor to lead you men.
