SandBag 1-year Anniversary 1 of 3

All BackBlasts Backblasts

May 28th, 2020 By SandBag

8 men braved the wet gloom to help YHC celebrate his 1 year anniversary.  A pre-blast when out the night before to remind the men that YHC was leading all 3 beatdowns for this auspicious occasion but all would be different themed.  The first beatdown would be cardio-heavy, the second strength-based, and the third a standard boot camp. The warning also included there was no plan B for rain, so expect to get wet.

After a thorough disclaimer, the grumble chatter started.  Cardio?!?  My gloves are wet?!?  My response was – as promised.

The beatdown went as follows.

Mosey
19 SSH
17 IST
15 HB
13 [some plant] picker
10 mountain climbers
10 merkins

Broad jump x5

6 Peter Parkers before entering cul-de-sac
Every other driveway 2x burpee

10 Muscle ups on the brick wall
10 people’s chair w/ air press
Mosey back for Mary w/ a few burpee stops along the way
Mary:
10x Captain Thor (1 WWII + 4 American Hammers)
15x Freddie Mercury
10x The W
15x Pretzel crunch each side
COT & BOM
Moleskine:
After the initial grumbling, everyone seemed to have a good workout.  Thanks for coming out to help me celebrate 1 year.
I did say some kind words about F3 has meant to me.  I won’t repeat them here, but I am grateful for the organization and the men that push me to be better in a multitude of ways.
Shout out to Frostbite, who was the first face I saw when I pulled in at Tradition a year ago.  Thanks for making me feel welcome.

  1. Don’t take the grumbling/mumblechatter seriously – it’s more of a sarcastic show of love! POAS can be ordinary but this one was not. Well done Sandbag and congrats on 1 year of this madness.
