8 men still showed up for a beautiful Wednesday morning workout even after the QIC’s pre-blast said to bring gloves and a good attitude!  You would need them!  7 men gathered in the gloom discussing life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness while the youngest hate of the group was the very last to roll out of his car.  Was he sleeping? Texting a sugar momma? Hungover?  Who knows…..that is why he is Risky Business.

5:30 I gave the disclaimer and mosey.  As I turned around to look at everyone to make sure they were following it was very fitting to what I had planned.  The 7 pax were starring at me like little lost boys who had just been dropped off into a classroom by their mommy’s for the very first time.

Section 1 – On this day in 1958 (No, Gunny was not born….yet….) US Army Launched it’s 3rd successful satellite, Explorer 3.  Everything in 3’s.  Suicides at 3 parts of the parking lot – 33 merkins,  Repeat Suicides and 33 LBC’s IC, Repeat Suicides and 33 Mtn Climbers IC

Section 2 – Mosey to new downtown area.  On this day in 1982 (No, Squid did not graduate HS) Ground Breaking began in DC for the Vietnam Memorial.  Vietnam war begain Nov 1. (11/1)  We did a Ladder . 11 WWII jog to red light and 1 Down Dog Push up. Rinse and repeat to complete the ladder (Once round was complete – 19 sec count for rest for the 19 years the war lasted)

Section 3 – Mosey to area behind the parking deck.  On this day in 1989 (No Grandmaster Hurricane Hugo is not correct….Hurricanes rarely happen in February! Right year….wrong month) Soviet Union held their first free election.  So the number is 89 – 89 Russian Twists and 89 Flutter Kicks

Mosey back to Mary: 10 Walmart Burpees in honor of the rolling back to look through history!  Hip Thrusts and misc stretches before the recover recover was called!

It was a great morning and it stirred some conversation about past events.  QIC sounded really smart but thanks to the internet and Google, class was a success.  How the heck did we manage with encyclopedias back in the day!!!?

Prayers – Remembering today and always those who battle depression or any selfless thoughts.  Sir Tophams house sale and Burgh save travels.  Prayers over all men that we continue to be leaders in our house, families and communities.
