7 men shot down by their wives, showed up to The Dawghouse for emotional support

All The Dawg House Backblasts

February 21st, 2020 By YellowCake

The pre-blast went out Thursday evening that with the wintry weather, YHC’s recommendation upon waking up Friday was to roll over, wake up the wife, and let her know it’s her lucky day!  If she disagrees, just come on out to The Dawghouse instead.  Well, we know what happened with 7 of us!

Warmorama:

Mosey to the East corner of the parking lot for SSHs IC.

Mosey to the North corner of the parking lot for Imperial Storm Troopers IC.

Mosey to the West corner of the parking (that’s near the stadium for those of you who are compass-challenged) for cotton pickers IC.

Mosey to the South corner of the parking lot for Windmills IC.

The Thang:

We Mosey’d to the tennis court, and picked up a single concrete block on the way.  Dang it, someone has locked us out of the tennis courts.  Audible, head back out to the parking lot.

We set the single concrete block down and circled up around it for the Bear Crawl Ring of Fire, that went like this:

Pax does a Bear Crawl in a circle, stop when the Q says to stop, pax planks while each HIM performs exercise individually.  Once all pax have done the exercise, Bear crawl in a circle again between each different exercise:

10 Merkins

1 Sprint to a light pole

10 curls with block

10 triceps extensions with block (hardest triceps extensions YHC has ever done after that much Bear crawling and planking).

There was a lot of good complaining about frozen fingers and Wednesday’s workout during the Bear Crawl Ring of Fire.  The QIC also made an observation about how the ring of fire got smaller and smaller each time we bear crawled.

Mosey to the blocks, partner up:

Partners do opposite exercises, then switch:

10 Merkins, 10 squats X 5 sets

10 dips, 10 lunges X 5 sets

10 curls with block, 10 step ups X  5sets

10 triceps extensions with block, 10 squat-jumps X 5 sets

If your arms and shoulders aren’t burning enough yet, drop and do 15 merkins OYO.

Mosey back to the parking lot, then run a lap to Mary.

Mary:

Pretzel Crunches IC x20 left side and right side

LBCs IC

Low Flutters IC

Freddie Mercs IC

Prayer requests:

Porto’s neighbor

Kojak’s family

Talladega’s co-worker

Final thoughts:

Great work by the men that showed up today.  Kojak and Buck spent 2 days on Slack building the expectations for Friday’s beatdown.  I hope I didn’t let them down.  When the pre-blast went out last night, Porto announced he would be there, and he showed up strong.  Ticonderoga was my partner today and put on a strength clinic with the blocks.  Talladega showed the group how to do big-boy step-ups.  And finally, congratulations to Loveboat, this week’s HIM.  He has showed up to every beatdown and cruise since he started except 1, when he was sick.
