3rd Time’s a charm

All Rolling Stone Backblasts

January 15th, 2020 By Steel Cannon

Temp was around 60 and very foggy.  5 of us ran the Greenway/Loop run that we’ve ran the past 2 Wednesdays.  It’s 4.0 miles exactly.  Although, there was debate on that as some got 3.98 miles and had to run a few extra feet so their Strava looked good I guess.  I won’t name names.  Heatstroke crushed the Ravenscroft Climb on Strava, doing it in 2:13 and putting him in 6th place for that segment.  We got back with about 5 minutes to spare and stretched OYO while we waited on the 3 ruckers (Sugar, Pox, and GB) who arrived at 6:15 on the money.

COT / Announcements

Gremlin.  This Saturday.  It’s still not too late to sign up.  Heck, if you don’t sign up, just show up.  Do what you want and leave if you need to.  Or come towards the end and have food and a beer.  Since Jimmy Buffett ran a marathon last week (and crushed it BTW), he’s going to show up for the last hour or so segment and hang out for some F2 at the end.  Catch a ride with him.  (Sorry JB).  So far we have 6 HC’s, Let’s help Manwich out and get him to his goal of 10 Stoners.  Sign up on the F3Meca website.

Wasn’t mentioned at the workout, but was later mentioned on Slack.  Happy Hour tomorrow night at Johnny Brusco’s.  Come on out and get in some F2!

Prayers for my Mom, as she has sinus issues, stomach virus issues, and migraines kicking her butt this week.

Thanks for coming out for my first Cruise Q.  You’re right.  Super easy.  You say where we’re going to run to, run, and then say a prayer at the end.

See you in the gloom again in the morning,

Steel Cannon

  1. Congrats to HS for the segment score…and my apologies to Soprano…he wanted to do another loop and I had it in the tank (and we had time). I didn’t choose the harder thing and was worse for it.

You kept us at a solid pace, SC
