Good morning – Bon Matin!  For the sake of saving time, the French translation of beatdown below can be obtain upon request by messaging YHC. The cost of French translation is $15.00 Canadian, which is about $0.25 cents US.

16 PAX, including FNG Adu, came out of their igloos (yep because everyone in Canada  lives in igloos as some people believe – it is always cold there)  to celebrate Canada Day or “Fête du Canada” as they say in Canada Français.  16 is actually a new Mettle Monday record, which show the love for Canada (no the exchange rate doesn’t apply here – 16 people is 16 people with Canadian or American currency).  The love might actually be because some people think Canada is part of the US. Anyhow the disclaimer was given in both French and English and we then grabbed our hockey sticks for a Stanley Cup parade to the roundabout and back where we circled up for………….

WARMARAMA (with hockey sticks of course)

1. Raised the Cup IC x15  (aka Side Straddle Presses but with hockey sticks)
2. Crazy Canucks IC x15 (aka Skiers)
3. Ice Skaters IC x15
4. Snow Digger IC x10 (aka grass picker with hockey sticks)
5. Wayne Gretzky’s IC x 99 – Just kidding it was 12  (aka side to side twitch with sticks on shoulders – similar to Mason Twist, or in this case we can call it Canadian twist.  In honor of my hero, we call it Wayne Gretzky’s this am.

THE THANG

Each station below performed with partner for 1 minute (and know you Americans the exchange rate doesn’t apply and no 60 Canadian seconds doesn’t equal 30 US seconds).  Not to pick on anyone, but our Skywalkers @Sparky and @Blacksheep got quite confused hey!  I think their Canadian GPS malfunctioned since it is not used to 90% humidity.   Or maybe the French translation completely threw them off. Sacré Bleu! Qu’est ce qui ce passe?

Mosey to round about and back then perform above rotation one more time.  This time we slowed it way down for our slower friends from the South since I forgot that things move much faster in the South.  I could tell that our Upstate PAX were getting impatient with the slower rotation.  But as we do in Canada, we hugged it out and grabbed our sticks again for next round of exercises.  For your dirty minds out there, I am referring to hockey sticks!

With time running out, again because of slower pace from folks from the South, we were only able to get one round in before MARY and therefore we had to postponed our Street Hockey game until next time.  Those poor hockey goals didn’t get any use this morning.  Oh well, no big deal since a lot of the PAX didn’t even realized those were hockey goals or nets for others. Maybe they thought it was just part of the parking lot decor!  LOL

• Apologies for running out of time and therefore eliminating the street hockey game.  But good news is that all of you are going to work this am with all your teeth.
• BTW, the PAX are terrible at hockey stick handling.  We need practice, as Larry Brown said.  Is he Canadian?
• In all jokes aside, God bless Canada and the great neighbors to the South. Both countries are fantastic and I am blessed to have lived in both.
