Lucky Seven Run
All BackBlasts BackblastsMay 20th, 2019
Seven men, yes, that’s right 7 men beat the Monday morning fart sacks and started their week off right with right around 6 +- miles. I don’t know that any PRs were set but we had a good pace, good conversation and discussion of weekend activities including Tug Boat and Hop regaling us with stories of their 24 hour USNWC run over the weekend. Tug Boat did a decent job of “selling” it as a great time but Hop, well he did little to encourage others to join in the “fun” next year. 🙂
As 5:30 rolled around, off we went, forgoing last week’s route of Mount Afton x 4 (or was it 5?), for the more traditional route through the apartment complex, around the charter, up mount afton (just once) and back to home base.
I didn’t feel like much of a Q as everyone was pretty much cruising on auto pilot and needed little direction. It was great having our newest Aftonite, Patagonia, join us. He could have a new F3 record, posting 3 times in his first 4 days – impressive start.
Thanks to all for joining, great numbers, especially for a Monday.
Prayers for all those who had to be taken off the USNWC course this weekend and all those needing healing and all the elderly feeling alone.
