After a no doubt gluttonous Thanksgiving, 5 men decided to defeat the fartsack to burn off more than a few calories with a not-so-friendly visit to M3 on Black Friday.  Chilly temps and windy conditions were taken into account as YHC intentionally limited the M2 today in favor of plenty of M1 to keep the pax nice and warm…and gassed.  So like Thanksgiving we would not just have one helping of M1, but two.  Disclaimer given and we begin…

Warmarama:  Mosey around the HT lot.  Sprinkle in some butt kickers, high kness, elbow to instep stretch (need to name this thing,) and inchworms.  SSH.  MCs.  Slow WMs.

The Thang: 1st WOD – “Dork”

Manwich tore through this one like a champ.  Stretchy lamented that his 6th grade jump rope champion skills are well behind him.  Whatley was treating his jump rope like Happy Gilmore treated his golf ball that hung on the lip on the cup but would not fall.  No KB under 44# was used, strong stuff.

2nd WOD – “Marguerita”

YHC got to maybe round 30 before time needed to be called.  A whole lot of what we will call functional movement going on here with constantly getting up, getting down, on your back, rolling around, etc.

Mary:  Mixed in a few stretches before finishing with 50 LBCs IC

COT: Continued prayers for my dad, Marie’s mom and Stretchy’s brother.  Qsource Grinders after your Saturday beatdown of choice.  Huntersville Half marathon preview run tomorrow 0800.

Moleskin:  Strong work out there gents!  It was actually warmer than I thought it would be…until the wind started blowing.  That said, I don’t believe anybody was chilly for long with the double dose of M1 today.  We all probably were bumping up against 100 burpee/8 counts total today to go with all the other festivities.  Good to see Gulfstream out for a couple of days this week.  This is his type of weather, looking forward to seeing him out more.  Awesome to see Stretchy out on a Friday as M3 is practically in his backyard.  Whatley made some amends for his Thanksgiving fartsacking by getting after it this am.  Speaking of getting after it, that is just simply a habit for Manwich now.  Dude has just been crushing it in the gloom ever since he showed up a few months ago.  It’s weird to show up and Manwich not be there, but we hardly ever have to think about that, because he’s almost always present and accounted for in the gloom.  Enjoy the rest of your Thanksgiving weekend brothers!  I hope it is a relaxing and rewarding time spent with loved ones and friends.
