Silent Workout

All Comanche Backblasts

August 9th, 2018 By Chicken Strip

The mumble chatter started early for YHC’s Comanche Q debut and didn’t let up especially after the Q spilled merlot. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

i preblasted saying I’d be there at 5:20 to stretch. Coming in on 2 wheels at 5:27 was late for Forgotten Jelly so he let me know he didn’t appreciate being stood up. That started the torrent of mumble chatter from the 12 other guys and YHC tried to give as good as he got.

Here’s what went down:

Mosey to bus parking lot

SSH IC x 25 (apparently this is a lot for non-Kannon Pax even though this is the min. for a Kannon bootcamp)

IST IC x 15

Plank jacks IC x 20

Mosey to courtyard behind school

10-1 Ladder: Muscle ups and Step Ups (they moved the tables so it was a longer run between the bench and wall)

Mosey to fence

Derkins IC x 10 (low rail)

LBCs IC x 15

Derkins IC x 10 (top rail – balls to the wall if you’re vertically challenged like the Farm)

LBCs IC x 15

Derkins IC x 10 (low rail)

Mosey to parking lot

Untimed Tabata: Pax performs AMRAP of following exercises: (Much mumble chatter here – complaints from Tues. Iron Pax workout which YHC skipped, complaints of my cadence on various exercises as I tried to push the Pax by doing the exercises in cadence and even some laughing cadence along the way)

WWII sit-ups (moment of silence for Buckwheat’s backside and we’ll leave it at that)

Squats

Merkins

Core Killers (a new exercise for the Pax and the cadence proved too much for many)

Lunges

Diamond Merkins (my cadence fell apart here)

LBCs

Star Jumps (poor form by the Q – don’t Q it if you can’t do it)

Mosey to starting parking lot

(While I spilled merlot on the run back – I might avoid the playground until the next rain, Buckwheat took the lead and led the Q in core exercises that included Ws and I’m sure others)

Crunchy Frog IC x 15

Mason Twist IC x 15

Mole Skin:

The mumble chatter was strong with this group and I loved it. I truly mean it when I say meeting in the morning and working out and chatting with you guys is the highlight of my day.

Afterward The Farm reminded me that it may be my F3 anniversary and indeed it was. My first workout was 4 years ago and although there was a 2 year break in there it’s great to be with you guys still. And makes it even more appropriate that I spilled merlot as I did at my first F3 workout and many since.

As always it is an honor leading you guys.

Kannon has their anniversary convergence Sat. at 7 at the Kannapolis Research Park

F3 Dads is at Harrisburg on Sat. at 7 as well so lots of good weekend opportunities.

See you in the gloom!
