18 of Highlands finest, or at least the ones that showed up, started the day on a positive note with a “No Props” beatdown. It has become my MO to incorporate various props in my workouts and one of the PAX questioned whether I could do one without any props. Challenge accepted. After the disclaimer the PAX mosey’d over to the middle school parking lot with high knees, butt kicks and Stoli skips along the way before circling up for:

Warm Up

The Thang

Pair up, size matters, in front of the Middle School. At the concrete benches (or rock) Partner 1 does dips until arms give out then does step ups until Partner 2 completes a run around the middle lane of the parking lot. Repeat x3.

Mosey around the Middle School to the wall for another round of partner exercises:

Mosey to the bus parking lot. At first goal post do lunges with Google bun shapers to the 3rd goal post.

Partner up again with Partner 1 doing 5 burpee pull ups, Partner 2 goes the alcove and does squats. Repeat x3. Mosey back for:

  1. YHC Really enjoyed leading this group today. Was worried I would not be able to pull it off without props but everyone seemed to enjoy this mornings fun.
  2. @Gump made a drive by appearance as we were gathering. Hope he shows Thursday for Dime Bag’s VQ to provide his special form of encouragement.
  3. Lunges with Google Bun Shapers seem to loosen up the digestive track. PAX learned there are certain individuals you do not want to follow behind.

  1. Nice job today @Brinkley. I’m still not sure why partner size mattered though. Those burpee pull-ups were not easy. Thanks for combining my two least favorite things.

  2. @Gump’s “special form of encouragement” – LOL!

Not sure if @Glock was culpable during the Google Bun Shapers, but he left the workout with a large hole in the back of his shorts. YHC was accused of a lingering look. Truth be told, Glock could be Mr. July in a Highlands calendar!

    1. Well, alrighty then…s/o to my partner @Glock, team white shirts today.

  3. Nice work @Brinkley. No props look good on you.

    1. Thanks @Kleanup but there will be more props in future beatdowns.
