The Mutha Trucka!

All Comanche Backblasts

June 5th, 2018 By Buckwheat

17 pax including a few #kotters (@Dr. Suess & @Knoxville) and @Dr Suess’ FNG, Connor McCraw, descended upon the Comanche AO for a promised change of pace with little to no running.  That promise was fulfilled when YHC introduced @Dingo’s creation from back in the glory days of Tradition, The Mutha Trucka.  After last minute planning and gathering of equipment, the pax were greeted warmly this morning by tractor trailer tires, battle ropes, sledge hammers, kettle bells, cinderblocks, and @Dingo’s 10,000 pound rig. #MANLY.  Most of the Comanche pax had not experienced the Mutha Trucka before, but some came out because of their fond memories of the beatdown.  This is one of YHC’s all-time favorite F3 beatdowns and I hope everyone enjoyed it!

Here’s how things went:

Mutha Trucka explained to the pax.  Circle up for a quick warm-o-rama.  No running beforehand as promised!

The Thang:

Late disclaimer given. Count off by four. There were four teams of four and one team of five (the lucky ones).   Crank some classic rock on The Tailgater speaker I brought and let’s get started!

1) AMRAP Sledge Hammer Slams and Cinderblock Chest Presses (alternating exercises since we only had two sledgehammers).
2) AMRAP Tire Flips
3) Battle Ropes and Cinderblock Burpees (alternating exercises to make sure all pax in your group get a little of both).
4) Kettle Bell Swings.
5) The Muthatrucka: Push Dingo’s 10,000 pound rig to the end of the parking lot, adding a slight incline at the end for good measure.  Three pax pushing and one lucky pax member gets to drive/steer while keeping it in neutral. @Knoxville cheated on one occasion and kept it in drive.  #Jellylube.  The truck serves as the timer for all stations. Once it reaches it’s final destination at the end of the parking lot, each group rotates to the next station. Get through as many stations as possible in 35 minutes.  We had five stations, but only four groups, so this caused some confusion as to which station to go to next.  #Kobains.  Feedback accepted.  Will make it four stations next time!

Pack up all equipment and load those rig tires onto @10&2’s truck for return to The Precinct.

Legs a Burnin Moleskin:
1) My legs were done after pushing the truck, using the 40/50 lb KB for swings, and doing those tire flips.  Hope y’all’s legs were too!

2) @Forgotten Jelly.  Thx for bringing the extra KB and dumbbells and for arriving early for set up.

3) @Dingo- Thx for letting us use your sledge hammers and most importantly, your rig.

4) @10 & 2- Thanks for taking the tires and offering to help me return them to the Precinct.  It sucked last night loading those by myself!

5) @The Precinct- Thanks for letting us borrow your tires!

6) Welcome back @Knoxville and @Dr. Suess.  It’s great to see both of you back out in the gloom.  Keep coming back, it works if you work it!

7) Welcome to FNG Connor McCraw, a Gamecock who boxes and plays piano in his spare time.  Henceforth, you shall be known as King Tiger (Clemson reference with a little local karate flair since we just did their 5K).

8) Everyone put in work this morning.  Well done.  I hope you’re feeling it now!
