More Field Shenanigans, no rain, but still wet and oh so comfortable
All Rolling Stone BackblastsFebruary 7th, 2018
YHC rolled into Skywalker for his debut guest Q a bit disappointed that the 100% chance of rain today would not be seen until post beatdown. There was some chatter the night before that maybe a few extra MeCa ruckers might post, but apparently the opposite of #fomo set in and it was not to be. That said, 9 PAX arrived, ready to put in some work. 3 arrived adorned in rucks, and Hugo, not wanting to let any of his future MeCa GRT teammates down, decided to adorn one as well. Disclaimer given and we got down to it, whether anyone liked it or not…
Warmarama: Merkins X 12 IC, WM X 10 IC, IST X 10 IC, Plank Jacks X 10 IC
YHC says head to the field. Mumblechatter about it being a solid mile away. 2 minutes later we arrive…probably not a mile.
The Thang: Field Shenanigans – even though no rain, the field was completely soaked, nice!
- Tunnel of Love – the ruckers ensured the quality of high planking…Grinder suggested activity
- 3 man team partner drags – idea being for 2 to carry 1 across field (with a ruck also), then switch, then switch again. It was more difficult than expected and pre-existing injuries were limiting activity – audible to getting one PAX across field and that’s it
- Indian Crab walk/flutter kicks – while waiting to crab walk, PAX flutter kick, simple…across the field (soccer goal to soccer goal)
- Indian Bear Crawl/Plank – across the field
- Human PAX crawl – PAX on hands and knees and indian crawl over the backs of PAX to other end and repeato until most of the way across the field
- Indian Barrel Rolls/Plank – across the field, another Grinder suggested activity.
- Lazy Dora – Merkins/Planks – 10 IC, then 5 IC – 1s perform merkin, then 2s perform merkins, plank when not your turn
Mosey back to lot for:
Mary: W X 15 IC, LBC X 25 IC, Leg raise X 10 IC
Recover, recover.
COT: HDHH tonight, which also includes GoRuck gear talk with some event veterans, should be great! Prayers to my friends family, whose father passed away.
Moleskin: Nice work today gentlemen! This was the 3rd edition of field work that I’ve run out there in recent memory (1st Mineshaft, 2nd RS, 3rd here, 4th? Comanche is close and has plenty of fields, hmmm) Only the Tunnel of Love and the Human PAX Crawl has been repeated at all editions, as they are beloved. Nice job by Genie and Sugar getting a 2nd helping of it all. If you are looking for a cheap way to possibly generate merlot spillage, barrel rolls are a nice option…very dizzy. Thanks for playing along! You can’t tell me you don’t feel at least a little bit mentally tougher after all that…

Fun times!
One day I’ll learn to keep my mouth shut. Today is not that day.
