PAX:  Boston, Hansel, Psycho T, Anvil, Homeland, Loveboat, Neverland, Spud, Mayweather, Ace, Catfish, PTO, Mountie, Circuit Rider

14 men joined QIC for the last post of 2025 and to find out what tomfoolery would be produced on his birthday extravaganza . Been more than 3 months since Mayhem led, some new didn’t know what to expect, nor did the old, but what they all knew it would be worth it, even if it didn’t make sense!  And that’s why you show. It went like this:

Warm-A-Rama

Mosey to Boys Club for

SSH, Wide leg Stretches, Cotton Pickers (Side note: QIC’s grandmother grew up outside of Birmingham, AL, on a cotton farm, picking cotton from an early age…respect), Speaking of Alabama, Hillbillies,  and for an unknown reason except for status quo, arm circles

The Thang: Split up into Land and Lakes teams and partner up. One partner runs down Academy and turns right on Glenn, One partner runs down Elm turning left on Glenn, once meet up with your partner, two burpees, return back up the route you came down.

Did that twice then partners reversed course down and up opposite streets.

Mary:

No Q left behind, except in Concord. QIC brought up the rear for some quick stretches.

Moleskin:

Many probably asking, “why the heck did we need headlamps anyways?” QIC gave a nod to his virgin Q, 6/11/2019 (nod to Loveboat as he was there) at the now extinct Dawg House. Renamed an old run similar to what just occurred at B&G Club, “The Lazarus Run”. It was a tip of the hat to Hop Hunter for inviting me out to a “cruise” and bringing me back from the dead. That run was rough for a newby.

Thankfully I was partnered with HH who had strong legs and a headlamp! On the way to the AO that morning, I had listened to “You Came (Lazarus)” by Jonathan David Helser & Melissa Helser. A lot of thoughts were going through my head on what to expect, how out of shape I was, would I be embarrassed? Wasn’t sure I would make it during that run, but the words of that song kept echoing through my ears “You Came”, every time I saw that headlamp bouncing toward me, I knew help was on the way.

There was hope, and out of the darkness, Hop Hunter would emerge, a little closer, shortening my run, every time. All I thought about was Jesus showing up to our dead places, just as He did for Lazarus, bringing hope, bringing relief, bringing life! What dead places is he calling you out of in 2026? Be intentional, be faithful, be accountable!

Thankfully QIC partnered with Anvil, as similar results were had like that run with Hop Hunter! Due to the long lay off from surgery, Mayhem is bad out of shape again. Motivation was needed, and could think of no better place than the shadows of so many practices and conditioning drills than the B&G Club he grew up on.

Knowing you all are faithful to always be here and bring encouragement helps tremendously for restoration. When you don’t show up, things die, football at the B&G Club, AO’s go dead like The Dawg House, and as Tiger Town is now on life support!

It was great to see PTO back out, Hansel, and of course all the boys. We have a very unique and special group here in Concord, as we all know, but it can always grow. Reach out to someone new. Reach out to an old PAX who hasn’t been out in a while. Encourage them this year, as that’s what F3 is all about! Perhaps you can be the catalyst to bring someone back from “the dead”. Be the LIGHT!

Prayers: Continued prayers for Deb, TP’s wife’s recovery from hip surgery, Mayweather’s friend’s health battle. Any others Mayhem may have forgotten!
