Last Minute Circuitry
All Concord BackblastsNovember 18th, 2025
When: 11/18/2025
AO: ASEC
QIC: Marlboro
PAX: Psycho T, Luthor, Brickyard, Phidippedes, Fire Chicken, Tombstone, Hops, Homeland, El Abogado, Ezekiel, Spud
Mosey to the back parking lot of ASEC for the warmup with side straddle hops, hillbillies, soap drop, and arm circles.
Mosey back around the building, sure-footed with all the leaves on the ground and skipping past the pull-up bars, to get back to the rock pile for the Thang.
The Thang:
First round together to avoid all confusion and over-mansplaining.
Grab a rock for 10 curls, 10 presses, 10 skull crushers, and 10 bent over rows.
Run around the sidewalk to the back lot again (with no hobos lurking around) for 10 Merkins and 10 WWIIs.
Run around to the lower lot, frolicking through the leaves and skipping the pull up bars again (for much grumbling from FC) for 10 squats and 5 broad jump burpees.
Climb the hill to the rock pile to start the circuit again at your own speed.
Some went fast, some moderate, and one probably did his own thang…
Mary called with a little time for planking while the PAX gathered. Turn the plank into a runners stretch with left/right leg, pull back into down dog and diving into cobra a couple times.
Prayers: Deertick’s family with loss of a dear loved one. Ezekiel’s friend and his friend’s wife dealing the cancer and pancreatic issues.
Announcements: The infamous Hillbilly Thanksgiving day beatdown will be held at Homeland’s house. Potluck list to be distributed in the coming days.
Moleskin:
Quite a chilling start to the day for 12 strong fellas to get after it and defeat the snooze button. Quickly warming up the body with a simple yet effective circuit to leave you sucking wind if you tried to keep up with Tom B and Phidip. FC was severely dissatisfied with the lack of effort as we passed the pull up bars with each round. By round three-ish he had finally convinced a few of the pax to join him in a show of strength in the ups and downs. The Q was not shaken and stuck to the plan.
Decent show at Press and Porter for an indoor cup of Joe. All joined in with the inside culture, no hesitation. Brick and UHC nerded out for a few about their favorite Arch in town. Others debated on throwing a party with the old crew in the front of the shop. Tom B felt like the big wig in town with a strong show for his 40th bday bash where the crew painted the town bright beige this weekend.
Always a pleasure to lead fellas. Thanks for being there for each other.
