9 Men came to lament the misery that is late September after realizing your team sucks. At least the weather was OK.
Warm Up:
Mosey up Lake Concord to Brain Dr. for
- SSH x 15
- Hillbilly x 10
- Loose change x 5
- Arm Circle
Then mosey to the playground of a deserted Beverly Hills school for
THANG
One big bright light at the front of the park is meant to provide all light to said playground. Mayweather presumably demanded no lights be placed at the back of the playground to eliminate the potential for the return of chimney swifts. The one thing we CANNOT abide is the return of chimney swifts.
All pax headed to the pure darkness at the rear of the playground for 20 dips under the shelter, then 15 squats at the start of the B-Ball court, broad jump to around halfway, then 10 hand release merkins at whatever we thought midcourt might be. Then lunge walk to the end for 5 burpees. Mosey a lap back to the shelter and repeato, trying not to trip on the track which Mayweather must have also demanded be extra bumpy.
4-5 rounds for all, then mosey the mile back to
MARY
No time as Double Dutch had to retrieve his jump rope.
COT
Prayed for Cat’s FIL Ed, dealing with neck issues, for Neverland’s (former) co-workers, who are needing to find new ways to support their family, and for the folks in the mountains still dealing from the Helene devastation that still ravages their community as the anniversary of the hurricane nears. Where everyone else has moved on, there is still a lot of need 365 days later.
MOLESKIN
Good solid beatdown today. Nearly everyone tripped on the bumpy track, but nobody ate asphalt, which I guess is good. I guess we run by the playground/school every Monday, but nobody was kind enough to remind me that there was no light there. Amazing how you can see something pretty much every week and not recognize a major detail.
Coffee was dominated by sports talk, per usual, also talk of Google Fiber being down. What a disaster. I am ready to beat someone up, as you don’t realize how many things in your life can be inconvenienced by one idiot with zero idea of what they are doing. It’s amazing how one person can change the world for the worse, or for the better, but when that one idiot kills the internet for half of Concord, especially with big man JD Vance coming to town. Sergey needs to get his shit together.
