A dozen men choose to come out in hopes of another cool morning workout.  And those that were hoping to see the local legend were not disappointed.    Shortly before 05:30, YHC sent everyone off with very little disclaimer.  Othello skillfully lead Broga for some.  Others chose to run, walk, or ruck on the route of their choice.  Very thankful to have Salty Dog in attendance.  He is an inspiration and brings down the average age.    We will miss him when he leaves us (hopefully temporarily) while he goes on to bigger and better things.

Tomorrow will be July 4, and our Independence Day.  We are told John Adams inaccurately predicted that Independence Day would be July 2.  But it seems that he very accurately predicted the significance of Independence Day and how it would be celebrated in these words:

“solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”
