14 Men joined on an extra gloomy Saturday to relive Palmetto glory and earn some breakfast.

Thang:
A series of cumulative Palmetto-inspired exercises around town.

10 Merkins at Coltrane (Representing Palmetto starting line)
+ 20 Bobby Hurleys at B&G club (in honor of world’s tallest man)
+ 30 Squats at Forest Hills (to remind us not to shit in the middle of the road)
+ 40 LBCs at Central Methodist (in honor of Frosty’s near-death experience)
+ 10 Burpees at Creamery (for Red Craig’s aversion to ice cream)
+ 20 V-Ups at Benny’s (for Catfish’s missing pizza)
Mosey to top of new deck where a surprise guest was waiting on us.
+ 30 J-Lo’s (in honor of our guest as she presented herself)

Repeat all exercises, run down ramps, back up stairs.
Repeato until Mary called at 7:22

Prayers were said for Lex’s father in law as he faces a cancer diagnosis, blessings upon the upcoming Time-Lapse and Tuna teams, and for the crew cooking.

Moleskin:
The Palmetto was cancelled and that sucks. Instead of typing or reading this, we’d be on vans heading home from Chucktown, exhausted, legs thrashed, but all smiles. We’d have new stories and new memories to carry us for the year. But like life, things change. We now have new races and events in the coming months. I have no doubt, they will be equally as rewarding, and look forward to the new stories.

Big thanks to Total Package and Bozeman who showed up and started cooking breakfast early. Java and Loveboat also joined after their long run, and Gooney who missed us by 2 mins and ran around in the gloom looking for us. Food was fantastic along with the jokes.
