AO: OCT
When: SAT 20 de JAN ’24
QIC: El Ab
PAX: Cat, TP, Neverland, Tomby, Spud, Luthor, El Ab,
WARM-o-RAMA at OCT: Univ of Cincinnati Sports Institute-approved warm-ups– novel concept to warm up before running at face pace
Native American Run:  0-2 burpees (each PAX respective decision) from OCT to Old Deck, New Deck, around Carolina Courts and repeato cycle.  Some pain station stops along the way with help from various members of PAX.
Thoughts:
-TP is damn tough– he used to be so fast running and could really go the distance, but father-time has weathered his back and knees– still goes for many miles on the bike, but can’t pound the miles on feet no more– a bunch of gel shots in the knees and grit keeps him going in his ^0s and best-looking PAX w/o shirt off in F3 Concord: TP personifies staying hard
-Lexter rudely and inappropriately dropped a SBD (silent but deadly) fart on PAX at a pain station and then quipped a few seconds after hearing PAX complain and Cat gag w a “it might have been me…”
-Great effort by ALL– if any complaining, only genuinely good banter/good and positive energy loved and well-received by QIC— its was very cold, 18 degrees cold– big thanks to the PAX who posted as all brought IT
-PAX was treated to QIC’s “the total package” 9aka Deez Nutz) along w some lovely ladies at Holy Grind— one familiar face lady at Holy Grind even complimented QIC w, “Joe, it’s so good to see you!”– I actually like my new look– I feel free now/mt truse sel– look for more of Deez in the future for your viewing pleasure
-Many prayer concerns lifted up for various hardships of life for those we know and care about… weighed on me heavily at Mary and still carrying w me now– life can beat you down to your knees at times– don’t have a great biblical or spiritual response now as often try do, but take to heart this my brothers:
“When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those. instead of giving much advice, solutions or cures, have chosen to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand.  The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in a moment of bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face us with the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.”
 Henri Nouwen
Peace out, El Ab
