We had a turkey of a time at The Railyard this morning with a Turkey Bowl workout where we played Ultimate Football. Tumbler and his family came out for their annual visit and will now go back into hiding until next year. They were the only ones who seemed like they could catch the football, since the rest of us had butterfingers. Maybe we were too hungry or too cold, or maybe we just sucked. It was so great seeing all of the 2.0s as well as Starsky, Gamma and Minnion who weren’t able to play but who graced us with their presence nonetheless.

They were probably glad they didn’t have to embarrass themselves on the field. Tumbler and Dr. Lector’s teams jumped out to a quick early lead which they were able to hold on to despite their opponents finally getting their hands warmed up enough to catch some balls. The game was competitive but friendly, and we had a lot of fun and laughs along the way.

We then headed over to our respective homes for some well-deserved turkey and pie. This was a fun and memorable workout that I enjoyed leading. I was impressed by the effort and enthusiasm of the PAX, who gave their best and had a good time. I also appreciated the camaraderie and fellowship that we shared. I think we all burned some calories and made some memories in the process.
