5 incredible, studly, handsome, and amazing men came out on a brisk and clear morning ready to kick butt and take names. Little did four of them know what they had in store for them.

We started things off with a bang with 5 fulll out, jail break, non-bougie, not tik-tok worthy sprints across the parking lot. In the midst of picking them up and putting them down here comes Mad Dog like a white Usain Bolt flying past the group. Who knew?! Othello gave him a great run for his money on the final sprint to prove age ain’t nothing but a number!

As mentioned in the pre-blast today is 172 years since……….Moby Dick was published. Here are some factoids about that famous piece of literature.

Moby Dick was based on a real whale named Mocha Dick, who was notorious for attacking whaling ships in the Pacific Ocean in the early 19th century.
The novel was originally titled The Whale, but Melville changed it to Moby-Dick; or, The Whale to avoid confusion with a British novel with the same name.
The novel was not well received when it was first published in 1851, and it was out of print at the time of Melville’s death in 1891.
The novel is famous for its opening sentence: “Call me Ishmael.” Ishmael is the narrator of the story, who joins the crew of the Pequod, Ahab’s whaling ship. Ishmael’s name is a biblical reference to the son of Abraham, who was cast out by his father and wandered in the wilderness.
The novel contains many references to Shakespeare, the Bible, mythology, and other literary works. Melville also used various sources of information about whales, whaling, and the sea, such as natural history books, travel narratives, and personal experiences.
The novel has one female character named Charity, who appears briefly in Chapter 12.
The novel has a hidden palindrome in Chapter 42, where the word “madam” is spelled backwards in the middle of a sentence.
The novel has a famous typo in Chapter 49, where the word “fast-fish” is mistakenly printed as “fæst-fish” in some editions.
The novel has a controversial ending in the epilogue, where Ishmael survives the sinking of the Pequod by clinging to a coffin. Some critics have argued that this is unrealistic or inconsistent with the rest of the story

Grateful that Uncle Floyd and Bear Claw are both on the mend. And as always, I’m grateful to be a part of such a wonerful group that pushes me for more. The Thang

Mosey to a nearby hill or field.
Sprint up the hill or across the field for 30 seconds, then jog back down. Repeat 5 times. This is your harpoon practice.
At the bottom of the hill or field, do 20 merkins (push-ups) , 20 squats , and 20 big boys (sit-ups) . This is your strength training.
Mosey to another location.
Find a partner and do a wheelbarrow race for 50 meters, then switch roles and go back. This is your teamwork exercise.
At the end of the race, do 20 burpees , 20 lunges , and 20 LBCs (Little Baby Crunches) . This is your endurance training.
Mosey to the final location.
