Partner Fun

7/26/22

AO: Rolling Stone

PAX:  Clickbait, Life Alert, Soprano, MC, Pox, Boucher, Steel Cannon

Q: Steel Cannon

I pulled into the AO with about 30 seconds to spare.  Walking up to the launch circle, there was mumblechatter about what Life Alert was doing.  The pax saw him head towards the greenway, then he came around and ran back behind Odell School.  Upon hearing this, I thought I had my Q days wrong, LA must be planting a weinke somewhere.  I have a brief disclaimer to the veteran group and we mosey’d toward the back end of the fence at Odell Primary.  The moonlight was just enough that we could see Life Alert running from the other side of the basketball courts to us.  He was carrying something.  Is that a coupon?  A bluetooth speaker?  What’s he have?  TP!  That’s right, LA comes prepared!  When nature’s calling, you got to be prepared.  So now that he was a pound lighter than when he got to the AO, he was ready to roll.  So we make a u-turn and mosey toward HRMS.  As we mosey past the parking lot again, MC comes rolling in hot, so we pick up lucky # 7 along the way.  Instead of warmarama in my favorite well-lit grassy area, we stay on the bus driveway for warmorama.  Afterall, there will be no traffic in and out of here today since school’s out.  Upon stopping the mosey for warmorama, Life Alert tells me that the football field is closed due to maintenance being done on it.  Well dang!  I WAS planning to go to the football field.  (Note to future Q’s: it’s just the actual field, the track and surrounding area is available.)

Warmorama:

SSH x 20

IST’sx 10 IC

Temp squats x 10 IC

Arm Circles with a dose of Michael Phelps, OYO

Merkins x 10 IC

Brazilians (Peter Parkers…..I started my F3 journey at Kannon, they called them “Brazilians” over there) x 20 IC

No buses in the parking lot!  Let’s take advantage.  Line up at one end of bus parking lot, sprint to other side.  5 seconds rest.  Sprint back.  Repeato one more time.

Mosey over to sidewalk in front of left side of HRMS.

The Thang

Partner up.  Since there were seven pax, I was going to go solo.  However, Boucher felt something strange in his knee when he was running, so as a precaution he said he’d go alone as he would modify it by not doing the run portion of the workout.  So I partnered up with Clickbait.  Clickbait continues to post and get stronger and stronger each time.  I can see the difference already.  Keep it up Clickbait!  You’re doing awesome!

Find what appeared to be the middle, but was probably more like 55/45 for some partner fun.

Start in middle with partner exercise, partners split and run opposite ways to end of sidewalk, perform 3 burpees, run back to middle to join partner for 2nd round of exercise.  Split again, 2 burpees, back to middle for exercise, split again for 1 burpee, back to middle for exercise. Done.

Exercises were:  Pattycake merkins, Partner WWII’s (with squat jumps instead of burpees, 15, 10, 5)

Lunge walk as a group back to the school parking lot.

Partner wheelbarrow to the far end of the sidewalk, trading off as needed.

Mosey to teacher’s lot.

Can’t remember the name of this one, I think Schnitzel brought it out somewhere a few weeks ago.  I did it with a Sir Top ‘em Hat Q at Kannon a couple of Saturdays ago.  Anyhow, pax line up side by side with a little bit of space between them.  Everyone planks.  First pax rotates 180 degrees around to now be head-to-head with pax #2.  They each do a merkin.  While still planking, original pax now shuffles over to be head-to-head with pax #3.  They each do a merkin.  Pax #2 follows pax #1 and the train continues until all pax make one complete cycle.

Next we did this for burpees and then one more time for jump squat thrusters.

Mosey to the wall at right side of school.  People’s chair with air presses x 25IC and front claps x 25 IC.  Let’s do one muscle up while we’re here.  Also noted was that there is a port-a-john  tucked away in this dark corner of the school.  Good to know for future reference.

Mosey back to Mary, stopping at the top of the greenway for some, you guessed it, monkey humpers.  No spectators today.

Mary:
Low flutters x 25 IC

LBCs x 18 IC until time hit 0615.

Recover, Recover.

Moleskin:

Good workout today fellas.  Thanks for following along.

Announcements, prayer requests, praises:

Boucher’s daughter’s 13 year old friend tried to commit suicide.  Thankfully she was not successful.  Prayers to her and her family and friends to lift her up.

Chachi’s continued healing.

Shine your light today brothers!  You never know what anyone is struggling with.  Be an encouragement to others throughout the day.  Until next time…….

Stay hard,

Steel Cannon
