YHC hoped that his bit of encouragement in the Preblast would pay off. And it did as 5 other strong men came out this morning to share in the fun. As YHC indicated in the PB, there was no plan. High School Graduates

Gents thanks for showing up and putting ion the work this morning. Always a pleasure to lead this group of fine men.

Just want to take a moment to share something I have been reflecting on this week for the Pastor’s sermon Sunday to the Graduates. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with ALL you heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your path. As I sat listening I thought what a perfect message for those Graduates as they prepare for the next stage of their lives as so many of them move out from under the watchful eye and care of their families. As I was thinking the Lord spoke to me and said, what about you? You haven’t arrived yet and certainly don’t have it all figured out. I thought about how true that is and how easy it is as we mature (polite way of saying we get older) and wiser that we can often fall into complacency in that we feel we know the answers and exactly what God would have us do without even consulting Him. And how many time we lean on our own knowledge and understanding rather than that of the Lord. I thought just how appropriate that is. In this world of what seems to be constant flux and chaos so often we hear folks asking, what is wrong with this world and the people in it? How society is failing it’s youth and one another. I can’t help but think, what should we expect? We live in a world who wants to continue to deny God’s sovereignty and remove God from every part of our daily existence. God’s word and states that if man chooses to deny God and live there life as though God does not exist then He will remove His presence from those and to be led by their own thoughts and desires. Much like what is seen during the time of the Judges when God’s people felt they could live and rule by their own wisdom and the children of Israel as they wondered for 40 years in the desert choosing to follow the wayward thoughts of false god’s (idols), rather than submit to themselves to being led by the ONE TRU GOD. Our nation and this world must be willing to put God back in His rightful place in our hearts and this world before we can expect to see change.

Thank you for your patience as I share what has been weighing on my heart and mind.

Take care!
