Slightly more than nothing planned
All Afton BackblastsMay 14th, 2022
YHC was inspired by last night’s hockey game to tour the city of bridges in the Afton Swamp. Fortunately we had MECA’s official bridge inspector with us for safety and we were off with FNG Tony in tow. The plan was to cover a little bit of ground and keep the arms fresh for the upcoming tomato stake pounding at the farm.
Warm-Up
Mosey to the first bridge:
- Merkins x 10
- WWII x 20
- Squats x 30
- Mountain climbers x 40
- SSH x 50
Repeat each of the next two bridges with a mosey in-between. Starting on the third bridge, we dropped the last exercise to finish a total of 5 bridges. Rumor was there were more further up the new greenway but we will leave that for a future expedition.
Mosey to the tennis courts:
- 10 merkins first corner, lunge walk to next
- 10 diamond merkins of various size, LW to next
- 10 wide merkins, LW to next
- 10 HR merkins, take a seat on the wall
Mosey to the picnic shelter:
- 10 step-ups each leg
- 20 dips each arm (or 10 total)
- 10 decline merkins
- Repeat x 3 sets
Mosey to Chachi’s hill, 5:1 ladder with bear crawls up the hill; squat at the bottom, CDD at the top

COT:
1. Welcome Tony. Despite having pen and paper in his pocket, YHC didn’t think to get any info from him.
2. Prayer’s for 4-wide’s dog and the rest of the Pax family and friends, especially all of those with COVID right now.
3. A great time was had at the Community Farm today. Come join us next time.
