It was YHC first Q in probably over a year. It’s been so nice to be back out over the last few months and slowly regaining some strength. And like Hi-Vis and I were talking about before the workout, the accountability of F3 is huge. Knowing that someone will always be there when I go to work the street corner is what gets me out of bed (when I’m not sleeping through my alarm).
Although MECA has suggested renaming suicides to gassers I’ve chosen to personally continue to call them suicides. I don’t want to cause hurt but instead create a space where we can talk about suicide rather than ignore it. I feel that Solocup said it best: Spend your time reaching out to folks who need help and worry a little less about the names of exercises. So this is my way of doing that. I’ve been there and have been suicidal myself and like most of us have lost friends and pax to suicide. If you’re hurting you can reach out to me or any of us, God never wanted us to do life alone but in community and relationship with others. And reach out to someone who may be struggling. You may never know the impact a single message could have on someone.
