6 Years of the Dawghouse Convergence
All Afton BackblastsMarch 16th, 2022
36 of the finest men that the area has to offer showed up to cover all 3F’s this morning.
– There was a workout, sweat was poured out. 1st F – Check.
– There was a ton of chatter among the group as we saw faces we haven’t seen in a while from other AO’s. 2nd F – Check
– There was enough food donated to get Poutine’s Explorer to tow the line of the Carolina Squat (Kojak gave his blessing though). 3rd F – Check
Last year was wet and Sharknado was thrown out. This year, we’re dry, and Sharknado was not going to be the call, even if Yellowcake, Uecker and some of the former MQ’s beg to differ. This was so much better in my opinion.
The clock struck 0530. Introduction. Disclaimer given. No FNGs present. Let’s get to work.
Mosey around the lot and find some lines to do some up and back, defensive slides. Circle up.

Mosey around the lot to the upper Summer Bus Parking Lot. It’s quartered off, there is a large crew and we’re going to stay out of the way of incoming teachers. 5 Stations + a Sprint/AYG section were laid out with cones and notecards to alleviate confusion and prevent questions about what we’re doing…there were still questions. The main even looked like this:
Cone 1: 6 Burpees – Lunge Walk to Cone 2
Cone 2: 12 Merkins – Run to Cone 3
Cone 3: 18 Squats – Bear Crawl to Cone 4
Cone 4: 24 WWII – AYG downhill to Cone 5
Cone 5: 30 SSH – Bear Crawl to Cone 1
Rinse and Repeat until time is called
Circle up for Mary
Pretzel Crunch x12 Each Side
Homer to Marge Dawghouse Medley
– Mixed in Low Flutters, Hello Dolly and RBCs (x12 each)

Moleskin:
– I couldn’t be more proud of our crew that came together this morning. You guys answered the call and provided for the kids of WM Irvin in a big way. I am definitely proud to call myself a member of F3 with the things you guys have pulled together and done for our community.
– Always fun to converge with other guys throughout MECA. Special thanks to the guys from Afton for shutting it all down to join us, Harrisburg for sending over some quality representation and leaving the Riff-Raff at home and of course Highlands for teaming up with us to do something special.
– Mumblechatter was plentiful this morning, but that was intended. No this is not Sharknado, this is better than Sharknado. Sharknado lacks the movement, bear crawls, lunge walks, cones, notecards and sprinting. This was missing out on the cool boogie board and cardboard cutouts of sharks. Maybe I’ll step my game up next time and bring some props?
– Guinness picked up on the 6’s theme pretty quick, imagine that, 6 years in the making, multiples of 6, so original…
– We are going to have to organize something to drag Pharaoh back out in the mornings consistently. Turbine forgot to knock on his door as he headed out. Maybe we can go ring his doorbell and dance on his porch sometime?
– Another year in the books, to see how this has grown since the beginning is amazing. So many faces that have come and gone. Some new faces that have joined up recently. Seeing the grace afforded to us as we are able to get out there day in and day out, build friendships, chase goals and to be able to do it freely without threat of consequence is just amazing. As Pharaoh said when he started this AO 6 years ago, he picked 3-16 for a reason. F3 isn’t a Christian organization, and we’re not here to force it on you, but for those of us that are Christians, 3:16 means a lot to us. “For God so loved the world, that he sent his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” -John 3:16. In these tumultuous times, we cling to that verse, knowing that we have hope in the life beyond our earthly one. But while we are here, we are going to pour into those around us, just like we did this morning.
Thanks again for showing up, showing out, and playing along. I’m glad to call you guys part of my family.
– Honey Do
