20 degrees, light crowd, but a good one

Warmup:  standard fare in the medical building parking lot.  SSHs, loose change, and arm circles

The thang:

Choose your own adventure.  3.5 mile course around the mall, hospital, Beverly Hills with multiple pain stations building on the previous station’s pain.  Each PAX called on for the pain, some worse than others.

Moleskin:

Checkmate graduated into the big boy class after his first bomb drop on tombstone.  After wandering up to the group a few minutes late, someone said they were impressed he found us, to which he replied “well, I could hear Tombstone all the way from ASEC….”  Nice.  Welcome to the club.

Both Tupperware and Checkmate hung in there throughout our longer than normal trek.  Won’t be long before they’re running past me I’m sure.  Youth trumps all.

On the other hand, Tombstone showed some age today with an “oh my back!” moment, but he recovered nicely and his mouth never kept running, so we knew all was ok.

Pleasure to lead, appreciate the camaraderie, esp on 20 degree mornings, even if the majority of F3 Concord lies snuggled in their beds!
