Pax: Scooter, Psycho T, Marlboro, Luthor, Tombstone, Tupperware, Popeye, Anvil, Private Ryan, Look Me Up, Spud

11 men gathered at an unseasonably temperate ASEC to go get it.

Warm-Up:

Jog in a very discombobulated way around the sidewalks of ASEC, ending up at the upper lot for

THANG:

Mosey between two stations, with a choose your own adventure in the middle.  The two stations were:

ASEC basketball lot: 20 WWIIs

ASEC entrance: 20 dry docks

The route to get there were the ASEC sidewalks, one of which runs right up on the road (AKA, the Long way), the other of which cuts next to the lots.  Pretty substantial difference.  Every time a pax went the long way, their run was delayed by 5 squats at the peak near the Country Club/Concord Lake intersection, with an additional 5 squats added at each subsequent passing.  Every time a pax went the short way, burpees awaited them at the middle, starting with 2 and increasing by 1 every time.  Repeato of course.  Pax could mix and match however they wanted.  Mary called at 0609

MARY:

LBC x 60 (4c), that’s it.

COT: Prayers for Tupperware’s family friend Kim as she is in the hospital 38 weeks pregnant with some neurological issues, and for Popeye’s dad as he battles the Vid and tries to keep it from his wife.  Q took us out with the Lord’s Prayer.

Moleskin:

As Scooter would tell me, this was a sneaky tough workout.  Some good mileage to break up the stations, but the reps added up as well.  Most reported between 2.5-3.3 miles depending on how many go arounds and what distance the pax chose.  My ass certainly felt kicked by the end of it.  Glad to have the ice melt away so the sidewalks were once again usable, as I am not an elite level Tabata Q.  Good on the crew of Marlboro, tombstone and PR for going to get it and I was thankful that a snow day meant Anvil would join us, new truck in tow.  We’ve missed you brother.

Love to create new effective workouts, which are typically variations on the same theme, but this one was about choice.  There’s always choices out there and that’s what makes America great.  We all choose to get up at 0530 and bust our humps in the name of the three Fs, but mostly because we are some of the baddest OG MFers in the 28025.

Had some good coffee chats as well, per usual, although we missed Psycho’s Homo shirt.  All are excited to see it again soon.

Thanks for another good morning with my bros, and thanks for the accountability.
