Warm up:
Mosey to Rehab:
-those jumping jack things x15.
-loose change
-Plank till Q called.
-Head to the rock pile. Q stated, to choose wisely.
Thang:
4 pain stations.
Upper lot – skull crushers and bicep curls
Bottom lot (firechicken cried this wasn’t an actual corner) – LBC’s
Top lot – Merks
Bottom lot – Squats and lunges
Take a lap around the property, start over and increase by 2 each time.
Q required to carry the block from each pain station and drop it off before running the lap.
On round 1 the complaining was overwhelming, as if I had just visited a hospital room with octomom and a bunch of screaming babies.
Q felt the sympathy on this cold morning and decided to make every other round required to carry the block from station to station. Most agreed with and pursued their efforts to be beastly. The top 6 were faster than most but only carried it one round. (you know who you are, I hope you can sleep well).
Time called.
Mary in top parking a lot, some random stretching and that’s all.
Moleskin.
16 men rose to show their hardness on this sub-freezing morning. Q had to bail on the last Q due to what seemed like rona symptons. Though negative tests were produced. Its great to get out and get a beatdown and I plan to be more present for future.
The beatdown this morning had meaning. We complained about the block, round 1 all 16 pack were close together, dealing with the pain as a group. We as men/leaders/Husbands often walk around with the weight of the world on our shoulders, more importantly our families. I know I am not the best father and husband and strive to be better but so often fall short. This group of men is supportive in so many ways. We strive to be better and the continual support and encouragement makes it easy. During the beatdown, every other round carrying the block, we can look back on and realize, we carry the weight all the time, but with a strong community around you, the weight doesn’t seem as bad, bc you are having fun while doing it.
Swimming has been a great stress relief for me as we close out the year, but its not the same of going through beatdowns with a group of men that have the same mindset. Last week Mayweather asked when I was coming back and told me to grab a Q. Thanks for the accountability, even though you complained about carrying the block.
Coffee was as usual, great conversations, though much quieter than normal. We joked that we prayed for Catfish and Tombstone, since they had Rona. All jokes aside, we missed seeing, or rather, hearing you this morning and hope that Rona has no reason as to why you no showed.
A few of us have a plan to attend next year’s Army/Navy game. We discussed the tough future of #54 on Navy squad and what he will be enduring as he moves to the marines and rest of his career. Plenty of other conversations, to many to include.
As always, appreciate the group.
Be strong, be bold.
Bozeman, Out!
