10 men showed up to build their own beatdown on a solid Saturday morn.  Here’s the facts:

• Hillbillies x 10
• Loose change x 10

Everyone grabs a small Lego base to build your beatdown. The QIC set up a whiteboard with four exercises that corresponded to four colors of legos.  The whiteboard also gave 4 locations where the Legos were set out.  When the pax grabbed a Lego, the pax paid in pain to obtain, ran the Lego back to Suntrust and added the lego to their base, and do every exercise on their base.  If a pax had more than one Lego of a color, the reps accumulated.  Exercises/location were as follows:

• Coltrane/Gray/20 mtn climbers to pick up/10 burpees on the board
• Mugga shelter/green/20 dry docks to pick up/20 squats on the board
• Glenn Center/brown/15 crunchy frogs to pick up/10 walk out merkins on the board
• 5/3 bank/ blue/10 star jumps to pick up/10 core killers on the board

As pax put their pieces on the board, exercises accumulated, and there was no requirement to visit every station.  All pax go until 0725 when time was called.  Head back to OCT for…

Decent amount of running, almost 4 for YHC, most got more than 4, Java almost 6.  Frosty made the low run call to go between 5/3 and Coltrane and paid for his decision in burpees, he likely got 100+ in.  The distance to and from all 4 stations combined was around 2.8 miles, so a decent little mosey.  You never know how a new beat down will go and this one did the business.  Now I have a bunch of legos for next time.  It was cool because you could ultimately make the beatdown your own, figure out whatever exercises you want to do.

Coffee was great, Tombstone offered his theory of eugenics and we had a high percentage of pax attend.  Strong work from FNG Dustin who gave max effort, come on back and get better.  Always great to get a visit from Exit.

The beatdown just showed the freedom to choose whatever you want.  It’s the damn US of A, you do what you want, help each other out, and things will be just fine.  Keep showing the hell up, the biggest part of life is showing up.
