23 men honored the Pax of F3Concord as well as a 20th anniversary to never forget on a perfect September morn.

Here’s what we did:

Warm up

• Make a block around Yorktown back to the AO
• SSH x 20
• Hillbillies x 10
• Hammy Stretch
• Arm circles – FORWARD ONLY
• Integral PAX COUNT OFF
• Mosey with 6 additional blocks to new deck for

Da Thang

Happen to come across a stack of 22 blocks for a block weighted stair climb.  All pax take their block on floor 1 of the deck and climb up the stovepipe all the way to the top with their block, and then run back down the ramps, stopping at each level to perform a block centric exercise.  Pax also had the option to drop their block off at any level they chose on the way up, with a burpee punishment at any  block free level.

Levels and associated exercises were as follows:

• Level 5: 25 chest presses OR 25 Burpees
• Level 4: 20 Curls OR 20 Burpees
• Level 3: 15 block v-ups OR 15 Burpees
• Level 2: 10 Overhead press/skull crush OR 10 Burpees
• Level 1: 5 Manmakers (only option)
• Repeato until time called around 0715 and plank on block or stand around and chat until all complete.
• Everyone take their block and awkwardly mosey back to OCT for

Iron Boat- All pax hold canoe while we go around the circle and each pax hits 5 LBCs, if anyone drops a 20 burpee penalty was assessed.  NOT EASY WITH A BIG HERD.  Concluded with mediocre broga.

Prayed for 9/11, Anvil’s brother Jake who has been admitted to the ER, BRR runners, all pax with Covid, and a special thought for Fire Chicken and his family as they memorialize his Old Man this weekend.

What a great time, a great turnout, and a great honor to lead a determined and principled group of men who I would do anything for, and would expect the same in return.  Thanks to those who brought food, who brought fellowship, and who I’m proud to call brothers over the past few years. I’m an only child, so this is as close to a brotherhood that some of us will get, please don’t forget that.

I do feel we did tribute to the great men who went upstairs while the easy thing to do was to stay still.  Carrying the block was awkward, clumsy, and arduous, but I did so remembering that there were many men who did so as heroes 20 years ago.  I’ve lived most of my life in a post 9-11 world, and can safely say that it has been one of the defining events of my existence, and it’s why I react with fury at the ridiculous division Americans sow in these recent times.  Everyone is complicit. Sadly, September 12th 2021 is not going to foment the feelings of unity, love, and pride in the flag that stands for all of us that September 12 2001 is well known for.  Instead, the embarrassing hyperfocus on everything that divides us rather than what unites us will continue and deepen.  Be part of the solution, it’s no fun being a grumpy asshole.

I was proud that all pax pushed through and busted their asses in memory of a tragedy that we will never forget.

Welcome back to Homie, good to see Hip, even recovering from the after-effects of Covid, as well as Mayhem who is becoming more of a fixture as he prepares to launch TigerTown, make sure to support on 10-2.
