More organized and consistent this go around. Think I found a new fan favorite. Still a killer workout and less than 3 miles, so an ideal distance. PR was the answer champ today with Spud not in attendance, although if you negate correct answers with incorrect, he only had 1. Still, it takes some stones to shout an answer quickly when the consequence is a lot of burpees. Everyone on both teams was adamant that they were the first to answer Pi Day. Luthor, because it’s his birthday and Tombstone, because it’s the only one he knew. Avengers: Endwars is not a movie, and I was a little disappointed no one knew the name of the boat in Jaws.

On a serious note, we did some box breathing to finish things off. Technique has been around for thousands of years, but repopularized, like everything else, by the showboating Navy SEALS. Probably trying to land another book deal and movie rights. Breathe in for a 4 count. Hold for a 4 count, breathe out for a 4 count, hold for a 4 count. This technique can be used in any scenario in your life. It lowers heart rate and blood pressure, decreases cortisol production (stress hormone), and helps you think more clearly. Can be done whenever you’re angry, stressed, anxious, having trouble sleeping, etc. Teach it to kids to control emotional outbursts too.
