Blocks and Tires for days!

All The Dawg House Backblasts

July 28th, 2021 By Scottie Altschuler

YHC announced last night that there wasn’t going to be much fanfare about today’s workout.  Just show up, if you want to support Uecker.  12 men took the challenge and came out to the gloom to see what was in store.  I had 3 workouts in mind, but Torch didn’t show, so that ruled out Workout 1.  Work out 2 was next, but no Talladega and 2 men from Harrisburg came out so I had to pick the most difficult level of workout to ensure they got their moneys worth!  I don’t need anyone running back to Wexler telling him about Uecker Squats!

Blocks and tires it is!

I almost ended a minute early, but I heard Solocup in my head saying “you guys only do 1/2 workouts here?”, so I had to make sure we went a minute over to get that out of my head!

moleskin: YHC has been having a hard time with the loss of Amway. There’s not much to say that hasn’t been said, but my personal demons having been haunting me to say the least. I lost a good friend to cancer a couple years back and I knew he was dying but never called to say goodbye or say hello.  I carry that regret with me and told myself I would be more intentional with people.  I wanted to reach out to Amway, but I let life get in the way.  I am not sure if my words would have made a difference, but it’s the “what if’s” I live with. So today at the end of the workout, I was intentional with my words.  I wrote down a little something about each pax member that I thought would be there and read it aloud for them to hear.  Some guys Surprised me and showed up, and I didn’t have something written down, but I will have something for them the next time I see them!  I am choosing to be better and more intentional with people.  That’s the difference Amway is going to make in my life, because I refuse to let the depression of losing another friend beat me.  If you are struggling and need an ear, I am here!  It has helped me a lot to be able to talk to my parents, my wife and believe it or not some of my employees. Reach out and remember we are all here for each other! Until next time, SYITG!

– Uecker out!!
