The Pantene Show at the Vet

All Mint Hill Backblasts

June 7th, 2021 By Joe Ayers

11 guys made up the Pax at the Vet on 06/05/21.   As it was revealed that I turned one year older, I had to make sure to prove I was still up for a workout.  Started with the disclaimer and then headed out to do the warmup.  This included: 20 SSH, 20 Windmills, 15 River Dances, 15 Merkins, 30 Hip Extensions, and 20 LBC’s.  Now for the real stuff:

The workout:

Since my soccer field was closed, I had to make due with a mosey to the lawn in the back of the park.  Did a lineup at the one end of he lawn: 15 Bobby Hurley’s, followed by lunges half way to the goal at the other end, followed by a backward jog to the goal.  Once at the goal: 15 Merkins.  Repeat 3 times over and back.

Mosey to the handball court.  Start with 25 Shoulder Air Presses (with some people trying to mess up my count), followed by 10 Balls to the Wall decline Merkins.  Repeat for a count of 4 rounds, increasing the shoulder presses to 30 and decline Merkins to 15.

Mosey to the Hill:  Grab a coupon.  Start at the base of the hill with 10 jump lunges, followed by quadrifilia (SP?) with the coupon to the top of the hill, followed by 10 Sumo Squats with the coupon at the top.  Repeat this for 4 rounds.  Next:  15 Bicep Curls with coupon, followed by a nice lunge to the top of the hill (with our without coupon).  Repeat 4 rounds.  Next: 15 Triceps Curls with coupon, followed by more quadrifilia (with or without coupon), followed by 10 more Sumo Squats at the top.  Repeat for 4 rounds.

Mosey to the tennis courts for a finish:  Start with 10 Lateral Merkins, side run half way across the court, 15 Bicycles in the center, side run to the end, 10 Carolina Dry Docks…run back to the start.  Repeat for 3 rounds.

Mosey back to the flags.  Did the count of PAX, some announcements, and finished up with a nice prayer from Gopher.

Once again, I always enjoy leading this group of guys.  It’s always a great time and the feeling of accomplishment at the end is the best.
