Race Weekend at the Dawghouse
All The Dawg House BackblastsMay 28th, 2021
Twas the end of May, and all through the Dawghouse, 8 Dawgs were awake to see what awaits. YHC at the helm, with decisions to make, do we use the race or the holiday for the plan that we partake. As we overlook the track, the decision was obvious, the running would be light, but the reps would not lack. Habs led the way, not salty at all about how COTA went down, so he stood tall. Talladega was cruising and humming along, while Hokie Pokie showed us that he is strong. Buck and MASH earned their respect and showed us younger folks what we should expect. Grassy showed he’s no slouch, while Uecker decided to put down the glass and get off the couch. YHC was full of excitement this morning and still is for now, but wishes those Slack call outs would cause some to show out.
Three races this weekend (4 if you count ARCA) means 3 different stations. We only made it to 2, but those 2 sucked, so it’s ok with me.

Didn’t make it to the NC Education Lottery 200, but we’ll save that for another day.
No time for Mary, but the 600 took a toll on the abs, so I don’t feel bad for skipping that.
Oh yeah, and we didn’t do a single burpee, you’re welcome, unless you skipped, what’s your excuse now! Buck is starting to compile all the excuses we’ve heard over the past few weeks and we’ll vote on the best/worst excuses for missing a workout lately.
As always, I appreciate you guys playing along. Those that skipped out, come on back out, you missed some fun. Those that haven’t been in a while, return, we miss you. Don’t think you have to get in shape to be out there, we don’t judge, you can modify as needed and we won’t leave you behind.
This week has been a weird week, started by losing a former colleague, then lost a friend, trying to pray through and wrap my head around my grandmother’s health, all while trying to lead and provide for my family in the best I know how. You guys are an encouragement, and this is one of those weeks that I’m thankful for F3 and what it means to me. It’s not just an escape and way to clear the mind. It’s accountability, it’s encouragement. You guys have pushed me through training for this half marathon coming in a couple weeks and the drive you guys have helped me sustain is something I would have never done on my own. Continue to push each other, reach out to those that have been MIA, EH new guys. This is for every guy, they need it, they just don’t realize it yet.
Prayers for Bucks cousin, the Harrison family, my grandmother, Pharaoh’s recovery and all the men represented here at the Dawghouse.
