After 4-5 laps PAX moseyed back to OCT for some core and tensor tympani work.
Q then channeled the spirit of Homeland who was notably absent, and emerged with a speaker for a round of Name the Song/ Artist = Call the Exercise. If no one names the song = 5 burpees. At this point in the back blast, Q forgot who named each song and which exercises were done. But some honorable mentions were Spud recognizing Metallica’s Master of Puppets in about 3 seconds. And Mountie being very excited for recognizing Unsung by HELMET which I had inserted as a guaranteed Burpee song. El Ab made sure we stayed hard by calling Burpees as his exercise. The playlist is as follows:
Rolling Stones, Satisfaction
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sweet Home Alabama
Metallica, Master of Puppets
Johnny Cash, Five Feet High & Rising
Beastie Boys, Fight for Your Right
Eminem, Without Me
Helmet, Unsung
Ramones, Blitzkrieg Bop
Black Sabbath, Paranoia
Then we did some Broga.
PAX averaged 3 to 3.4 miles during the first round of exercises, working up to 18-20 of each exercise. Prayers today for the Middle East, A new mother facing a surprise cancer diagnosis and Phidip as he continues to prove every day that he is an absolute beast.
