Yes gentlemen, it’s been a full quarter (and then some, actually 5 months) since the last Rolling Stone APFT, so its time to get tested again. Are you accelerating in fitness, decelerating, or holding steady. Let’s find out…
Warmarama: Mosey to front of OPS, High knees, Butt Kickers, Side Shuffles, SSH, WM, IST, PP.
The Thang: Army Physical Fitness Test
- 2 minutes max push ups
- 2 minutes max sit ups
- 2 mile run
Pax were instructed on how to perform exercises, partner up, and proceed.
COT: Praise for my mom getting through a heart procedure as well as could be expected. Prayers for Shane, Detention’s sister, who is in the hospital with an unknown ailment. Prayers for healing for injured pax. Prayers as we work to put this pandemic in our rear view mirror.
Moleskin: Great work brothers! The APFT spreadsheet has been updated and check the 3/23/21 tab, link HERE. Gulfstream takes the trophy for highest score at 288 (300 is perfect.) He and YHC were twinning with nearly identical numbers for push ups and sit ups, and both turned in solid runs, but GS is two years older and the age adjustment was quite kind. Speaking of age, Chewbacca turned in awesome numbers and clearly let YHC show him the way on the run before dusting him at the end…that said, the fact that he is 16 did him in as his age adjusted score got dragged down. Loveseat shaved 1 minute off his previous best time, dang, great job! When MC showed up, I figured he just hadn’t noticed that we were doing the APFT (like Chachi – who was thrilled – the look of horror on his face when noticing YHC walk up with the clipboard was priceless) but to the contrary, he had done research the night before on numbers he needed to meet, wow. Thoroughly impressed with the 2.0s on the run, I figured they would go full Golden Boy – go out super hot and be completely dead within a 1/2 mile…they largely did not and turned in great times. Master Po blew away everybody with 81 push ups…next time we will get the video monitor back rolling…but it could have been legit with encouragement from his partner/dad, Firestone. Next quarterly APFT is on 6/15. Personal goal for YHC, perfect 300 score that day. Let’s go!! Have a great day gentlemen!
